There was an orphanage. It was filled with children’s conversations, laughter, shouting, and crying. Everything seemed to be spinning faster and faster as did all of the sounds. All of the sounds overlapped each other and suddenly there was a bright light and silence…
The orphanage stood there as it was dark and lightly snowed. The bells began to ring. There were two figures standing in the snow, in heavy coats, outside of the orphanage gates. The old man looked down at the dark haired youngster. The little boy didn’t say or do anything. The old man looked back up and looked forward as he gripped the boy’s hand.
Everything fell into silence as the scene ended…
Watari was in his own computer room, working. He heard the door slide open and turned to see it was L.
“Hm? What is it, Ryuzaki?” he asked as he looked at him then narrowed his eyebrows.
“What’s wrong?” he asked concerned.
L stood there, looking at the ground, his hair shielding his face.

L had asked Rem about the missing piece of paper from the notebook. He asked if it was still possible to kill with just a piece ripped off. Rem said she was not sure herself.
They all had noticed there were criminals being killed off. This started to happen recently after Higuchi’s death and Misa’s release. Light glared at him and tried convincing him that it was not her as were the other times. L had confirmed that if it indeed was Misa doing this, then they would arrest her and most likely give her the death penalty. Rem’s eyes widen at this at the thought of Light putting Misa in danger. And then that was when she realized…
‘You truly are disgusting, Light Yagami… Since Misa is in danger, the only way to keep her safe is to kill Ryuzaki and I will prolong Misa’s life. Light is certain of this. He knows I will save her… but if I kill Ryuzaki…’ Rem thought while glaring at Light. Light so happened to be looking back at her with a smirk.
‘Freya was correct… She always was…’
‘You know what you have to do, Rem. You just can’t bare to see Misa die or be sad. There’s no way you would turn on her back now after she’s halved her life span twice. C’mon, think of Misa’s happiness.’ Light thought as he evilly glared at Rem from the corner of his eye. His eyes red and his smile in a smirk.

The rain poured. It seemed as if it was from a hurricane/typhoon. No thunder, no lightning, just heavy rain. L made it outside and just stood there looking up into the sky, getting drenched. He then looked to the side of him and saw on top of a pillar was Freya.
She sat on the pillar, hunched, while her arms hugged her legs. Her face was hidden. Her enormous black wings were partly covering her, but she was still getting soaked. L blinked and just stared at her.
“Freya?” he asked. He didn’t even need to shout out to her.
Hearing L’s voice, Freya lifted her head and looked down at L with no expression as always. But L noticed something different about her. He saw that was crying. Not just any crying with tears. She was crying… tears of blood. Red tears streamed from her eyes and down her cheeks.
“What’s wrong, Freya?” L asked, but Freya didn’t reply, just stared.
“I suppose you must know about today. I have the same feeling.” L said feeling sad.
He saw Freya stand up. They just stared at each other for a moment and then Freya flew off into the rainy, cloudy depths of the sky. L stared after her for what felt like forever. After a few minutes, L glanced to the side and saw Light.
