A Zombies Bite (Z Nation 10k Fan Fic)

Chapter 2

Sarah's pov
They followed close behind me as I sped through the town to the police station.The zombies still hot on our tails.As you came near the garage that was equipped to the station,you jumped off quickly,and set the bike on its stand and pulled the chain to let the truck in.Before they were all in 10k jumped out and brought your motorcycle in,almost crashing it making you laugh.You quickly pulled down the chain just in time for Z's to be pounding on the large door

"Thanks for almost crashing my bike"I said jokingly with a smirk and his cheeks turned pink

"You guys can stay here for the night,I have food,water,showers"I stated and walked into the main office part.

"Wait you have actually running water"Addy said shocked."That's nearly impossible"Doc added

"Surprised me too,it's the only reason I'm here"I shrugged it off.I looked around my 'home' -and seen all the windows barricaded except for a couple pieces to let light in and the front entrance chained.

"You guys want to shower,you all look like you need it"I said and Murphy rolled his eyes all ready making himself comfortable like it was his own home

"If you don't mind"Garnett said and Roberta nodded

"Ok you guys can decide who goes first there's three showers"I said and they decided girls can go first.I led them to the second floor were the showers and the toilets are."Sometimes there's hot water,sometimes there's not,the dark green is for hair the light green is for body.Ill leave your towels on the door"I finished and they nodded

I walked to the third floor were the beds Are and the cafeteria.I honestly don't know why they had bed in a police station,maybe they saw this coming.As I walked in the room I seen a boy standing there

"Curiosity killed the cat"I said as I leaned against the door with a smirk.10k jumped and turned around

"I-I uhh"he stuttered and I laughed."Is there something I can help you with"I asked and took three steps forward.About three more and I'd be chest to chest with him

"N-no I was just curious"he said with a cough and I sighed and just as I'm about to leave he asks a question."So how long have you been alone"

"Since it started"I said and turned back around."You should go downstairs,your next"I exited the room and went to the roof to check on my garden.
Regular food was hard to come by In the apocalypse.I looked through out the garden and picked some of the fruits that were ready.I ended up picking four peaches,five apples,three bunches of grapes,some strawberry's and cherry's.I grabbed my bag and went downstairs,I didn't hear any showers so they must all be done.As I was walking into the main office I stopped as I heard them talking.

"I think we should take her"a voice that sounded like Addy."I agree with that"10k.

"I don't know"Warren said."She's useful did you see the way she fought those Z's"Addy countered

"She has a good point,and with skills like those who knows what else she can do"Garnett said"Why should we she's just a hormonal teenager with an attitude"Murphy said and that when I lost it.I came out and threw my knife just so I grazed his cheek.He hissed in pain as I cocked my gun and pointed it to his head,this got other people pulling out there guns.I looked to see Warren,Doc,And Mack pointing there guns at me

"You seem to forget that this is my home,and I won't hesitate to kill you,do you understand me Murphy"I growled in his ear,he nodded with a Scared look and I shoved him away.I payed the bag of fruits in front of them.They looked surprised but nonetheless grabbed something and ate up.

"So we know you heard us and we would like you to join us,you'd be a great addition to our group and we're on a mission"Garnett said and that's when I leaned forward."What kind of mission"I asked

"For who"I demanded."The government"Warren finished.I immediately stood up and and cocked my guns and pointed it at the two leaders

"Wow wow wow,easy now"They stood up with there hands up."That man right there is the only man alive to survive a zombie bite"Doc said

"I wanna see"Warren nodded her head to Murphy and he grumbled as he lifted up his shirt.Seven bites that were sure to leave life long scars were sprawled out on his chest and stomach.I lowered my guns and inspected this man."No way in hell"I whispered with a slight smile.

"So your not working directly for the government,correct"I asked,they looked at me weirdly but nodded.

"Ok,I'm in"I said.I looked around the room and seen Murphy annoyed and 10k looked...excited.I looked out the window from the part that wasn't barricaded and seen it was night time."Well I say we get some rest and then head out in the morning,New York Z's go ravenous when they see fresh meat"I said and they all nodded.

"All show you guys the bunks,they got installed for homeless people but they never got used"I shrugged and opened the door to the bunks

Since there was nine of us one of us had to go sleep downstairs in the office,I chose to go.

"Here are your blankets"I handed each of them two,winters were always harsh in New York so I always had extras."There's only eight"Addy said

"You guys can take these ones,I'll sleep downstairs"I said."No it's fine me and Mack can share one"She said and I just shrugged and took a top bunk.I always chose top just in case Z's were to break in.I seen 10k take the bunk next to mine and give me a slight smile.

I layed on my back and looked at the ceiling and thought.What would happen if whoever they were 'working' for had copies of me on files,I can't go to jail now that I'm almost legal age,I can almost happily say the apocalypse saved me from jail.Id be damned if anyone from back then survived,what if He survived.Its a thought I barely got but it still popped in my mind.
