Memory Lane

Days come to passed and its Friday night already... Dei is now driving through Valeen's loft in Makati... As per agreement, it will be Dei's car they will be riding tomorrow at dawn going to Pico de Loro..
The boys will come over by dawn and they will hitched on Dei's car... And since Jerald's loft is three buildings away from Valeen (they found out as they are trying to know each other), together with Richard, they will jog going to Val's loft...

Dei, made sure that her guitar will be transferred at the back compartment and will be hidden under a thick carpet so it will not be easily detected... And since she can't play right now inside Val's room, she force herself to sleep early and she succeeded... Before 9pm, she was already asleep...

When Valeen made sure that Dei is asleep, she called the boys to assure that Dei will be joining them later... The boys were relieved and happy that Dei will be able to join them...

Truthfully, they find Dei easy to be with, except when she is insecure, they find Dei a good conversationalist... She always has a point about an issue but she did not force it to anyone... She explained things but not pressing hard to be believed by someone... She asked questions accordingly... She only not listening but understands whatever your point of view before pointing out hers... She don't argue, she preached...

Before 4am, Dei woke up at the alarm... She decided to prepare their breakfast since Valeen is a tough sleeper... She is preparing coffee when she heard Valeen's doorbell... She looked down first on herself to male sure she is decent, with her eyeglasses and hair in a bun,  before going for the door and opened it for their companions...
"Good morning, Dei!" Both boys greeted her at the same time... With them are a take-out McDonald's breakfast...
"Uyyy, bakit nag-abala pa kayo? Nakapagluto na ako...!" As Dei let them enter the house...
"Let me just wake up Valeen, would you mind if I go in first?"
"No problem. Take your time...!" Richard told her...
From there, they can see that the breakfast table is all set... And 4 coffee mugs are waiting to be filled up with coffee... She is very efficient...
After almost five minutes, Valeen is up and is ready for their breakfast...
"Good morning, guys! Early bird...!"
"We brought breakfast, we didn't know that Dei cooked for us... So if you wond mind we could being this along and have it eaten on our way to Pico?" Richard said...
"Sus, gusto mo lang matikman luto ni Dei, papi kunwari ka pa!" Jerald said...
Richard turned crimson but did say nothing after jokingly punch Jerald by the head... The girls laugh and all of them proceeded at the dining table...
The spread consists of bacon and eggs, omelette, toasted bread and fried rice... The coffee is freshly brewed...
"Wow, this is the real breakfast, dude!" Jerald said with a sigh...
"But before tackling the food, let's pray first...!" Dei said...
After a minute or two, they started to eat the breakfast...
"Dei, I will go in first to get my things, yours is at the car na?" Valeen asked...
"Yep, I will just clean this up and prepare my car after!" Dei answered...
"Let us help you then so we could finished it faster and then we will accompany you at your car...!" Richard suggested...
"OK...!" Maine agreed...
Once done, they went down to her car... Since her things are neatly pile up at the secret compartment and her "secret" under the carpet of the back compartment, everything is set to go... After few more minutes, Valeen came down...
"Dei, who will drive first?" Valeen asked...
"Me... I need this long drive to relax...!" Dei said...
"I thought so... With all the stress you had this week you need this... Okay!" And Valeen got to the shotgun seat... "Boys, you will be at the passenger seat...!" Valeen declared...
"Can we drive? I mean we are the guys by the way...!" Richard said...
"I know, but please let Dei be... No arguments from the of you!" Valeen said...
After several minutes of traveling, Dei asked Valeen if she could have separate room...
"Why do you need a separate room, Dei?"
"I just need it for my "me time"! Simple explanation from Dei...
Valeen search first the face of Dei before agreeing...
"Okay... no problem! But I will make sure that the room you will be getting is beside my room...!" Valeen conceded...
"Okay...!"
"And you boys, to make sure that we are safe, your room should be beside ours... Maine in the middle... Is it okay?" Valeen asked them...
"I won't have it any other way around...!" Richard told them...
"Nga pala Val, pang ilang beses mo nang nakapunta ng Pico de Loro?" Jerald butt in...
"Maraming beses na... Si Dei din... Kayo?"
"Ako siguro mga 4 na beses na, si Richard second time...!" Jerald told them...
"Bakit naman?"
"Kasi medyo long drive and isa pa hindi ko masyado trip and nature tripping unless naaya or nasa mood lang!" Sabi ni Jerald...
"Ikaw, Richard?"
"The last time I went there kasi I left something behind and until now hinahanap ko pa rin...!" Richard explained...
"Dun pala nawala, e bakit hindi ka bumalik doon?"
"Hindi naman kasi bagay yun, tao siya... Kaya sinubukan Kong hanapin siya... Pero until now wala pa siya... Pero I don't know, something is telling me that I will meet her again soon!" Richard added...
"Uyyy, ang romantic naman ng kwento... Pero how sure are you na wala pang asawa yun or boyfriend perhaps?"
"Call it gut feel, pero that girl, that little girl strikes me as a responsible child... I was only twelve that time...!" Richard told them...
Dei, on the other hand is preoccupied on the notes she is trying to use on her new song... Notes keep playing on her head... And that keep her from listening to their conversation...
"So, you have been looking for her that long? What's the reason behind why to you didn't forgot her?" Valeen inquired out of curiosity...
"Her eyes, her beautiful and sincere eyes, plus the way she reasoned of staying in one place when she was lost..." Richard told her.
"Dei, isn't Richard so romantic?" Val tugged Dei...
"Huh? Oh, yeah, yeah!" Ngumiti ng alanganin...
"Tingnan mo to, hoy Dei, apat tayo dito... Wala kang sarili ng mundo ngayon! Nagmomoment ka naman...!" Valeen reprimand Dei...
"Sorry, I was too busy with something... Its really important...!" Dei apologized...
"Anyways, going back to you Richard, do you even have the name of that little girl?" Valeen asked...
Richard didn't answer so she checked on him and there he saw his knitted brow looking at Dei...
"Is this how he is smitten with Dei? Oh my God! I wish Dei could see this... But in perfect time... In God's time...!" Valeen had a smug smile on her face...
