val

i shot up screaming at the top of my lungs in a bed, making thuds from someones footsteps be heard from the hallway.

"val!" i heard a familiar voice shout and my heart sped up.

tears flowed out of my eyes like a waterfall and the door was whipped open. there he stood; shirtless, in a pair of black basketball shorts, and his hair messy with drowsy and wide eyes.

"what! what happened! are you hurt!" he came to my side and i clutched onto my chest breathing heavily and uneven, making him pull me into his arms.

i let out loud sobs and shut my eyes trying to rid my brain of the vivid images i had just witnessed and thought of.

"i'm here! val! it's okay!" he shouted and ran his hands up and down my back.

it was just a dream..
