After the death of her grandmother, Delphine Glitz finds herself taking her grandmothers advice and going where life points, and by that, she means throwing a dart at the map and packing her bags. Soon Delphine finds herself Cairnholm Wales learning that there are more peculiar things to her than just her looks. She meets her friend Abraham Portman who claims to know people who could make her feel at home. Meeting other peculiar and Miss Peregrine their caregiver Delphine soon finds herself becoming best friends with Emma Bloom a peculiar girl as light as air. She also meets Enoch O'Connor a boy who prefers to keep to himself, but Delphine can't help wonder about him. Not only does Delphine have boy trouble, she also finds herself fighting along her friends to keep their home safe from a woman who threatens to remove all the peculiars from the world.
