Barn

Thirty Minutes Later

When Natalie finally mustered up enough courage to go back to the group by the RV, she sat back down in her seat next to Glenn.

Glenn was fidgeting nervously in his seat.

"You okay?" Natalie asked quietly, nudging his arm.

Glenn nodded silently.

Natalie could tell that he was anything but okay.

Glenn was looking at Dale and then to Maggie who was standing on the outskirts of the tents.

Dale was nodding inconspicuously at Glenn.

Maggie was shaking her head vigorously.

Natalie had never seen a person look so conflicted.

"Glenn, what's going on?" Natalie whispered, concerned.

Glenn didn't answer her. He just got up from his chair, walking awkwardly in front of the group.

Natalie looked at him with concerned eyes.

When Shane saw him get up, he looked over at Natalie, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion.

She just shrugged at him in response.

God, she's beautiful, Shane thought to himself.

He found himself replaying their life together over and over and over again in his own mind, knowing that they weren't those people anymore and probably never would be again.

It was driving him insane. He knew he needed to keep a calm front for Natalie, but inside he was dying. He wasn't sure how much of the old him was left anymore.

Lori took a piece when she left.

Nicky took a piece when he left.

Natalie took a piece when she left.

There wasn't much else left.

"Uh, guys--" Glenn said awkwardly.

The group ignored him, not even looking up from their plates.

Natalie scoffed quietly at their lack of manners and respect.

Glenn fidgeted awkwardly in front of the group.

"Listen up, asshats!" Natalie shouted angrily, getting their attention.

The group all looked at each other nervously before turning their attention to Glenn.

Natalie winked at Glenn.

"So-- uh, the barn's full of walkers," Glenn said quickly.

Natalie's eyes widened.
