{Jezzabelles Pov}
I felt light kisses on my neck as I stirred in my sleep. The kisses went up my neck achingly slow as my body alerted at what was happening. My head shot up when I noticed I was sleeping in a very comfortable bed with my shirtless mate on top of me.
"Morning" he says with a deep heart melting voice,
"Morning" I say feeling my face heat up as he chuckles,
"How did we get here?" I ask looking around us noticing that we were in some sort of cottage like house,
"Well, after you fell asleep in the carriage I decided to stop by one of the housed inn's we were passing by and carried you up here to let you sleep" he says caressing my cheek as I smile,
"Breakfast is waiting downstairs" he says moving off the bed as I noticed the scars on his back as well as the large tattoos sprawled all over his body,
"The elderly couple that owns this place told me they make breakfast every sun rise for their guests, so I'll let you wash up then meet me downstairs" he says standing up as I admired his hard toned body he was going to hide underneath a pair of loose jeans and a black loose shirt,
As soon as the door closed I sighed loudly thinking about how lucky I was to let the moon goddess give me such a wonderful mate. He may seem to be a bad person to others but to me he showed the side of him he never showed to anyone else besides my family judging on all the stories I've heard about how he treated people in the village.
I rolled off the bed before walking into the small bathroom connected to our room as my eyes widened when I looked at how terrible I looked in the mirror. My hair was standing up in different places, my shirt wasnt even straight, and my face looked so tired.
After washing up and brushing my teeth, I walked out of the bathroom with a towel around my waist and another one on top of my head. I walked to the side of the bed seeing my suitcase full of clothes was on the drawer next to the bed. I slipped on my undergarmets before slipping on a pair of blue jeans and a black sweater since it was pretty chilly. I put on my black shoes before putting my hair in a messy bun and walking out of the room.
"Finished?" I hear a voice ask as I screamed in surprise and in a flash Kaden was in front of me worriedly,
"Whats wrong?" He asks looking for any injuries as I turned to see a scared Joshua,
"Im fine, he scared me" I say with a chuckle as Kaden glared at a very scared Joshua,
"You told me to check up on her, I didnt know she was going to get scared" Joshua says with his hands up defenslessly,
"Its okay" I say with a smile before he scurries off down the stairs while Kaden glares at him,
"Did he hurt you? Because if he did-" I cut him off with a giggle as he looks at me seriously,
"No, I didnt notice he was behind me when I was walking to the stairs" I say with a chuckle as Kaden nods slowly,
"Ok then, are you ready for breakfast?" he asks with a smile as I nod and he leads me downstairs to a beautiful kitchen,
He sat me down on his lap like last time and fed me as I savored the delicious taste of the scrambled eggs and bacon. After we finished our breakfast, me and Kaden helped out the elderly couple that let us stay in their inn by washing our plates, before deciding to get our things ready for the rest of our long road trip.
"We have more road ahead of us" he says with a chuckle as I nod,
"Where are we?" I ask looking out the window in awe seeing the cottage we were in was nearby a small village of its own,
"About a little less than halfway from our destination" he says wrapping an arm around my waist as an idea popped into my head,
"Kaden, can we have a look around the small town ahead of us?" I ask with the best puppy eyes I could do as he looked down at me with a smile,
"Only for half an hour, your lucky my men are still feeding all the horses their breakfast" he says with a smirk as I giggled before dragging him out of the cottage,
"But theres one problem princess" he says as we walked out of the cottage together hand in hand,
"The people here arent wolves" he whispers as I nod before hearing music coming from around the village,
"Oh my gosh!" I shrieked when we walked into the village seeing a man standing behind a booth selling stuffed animals,
"Get your kids somethin special!" The man shouts as I pulled Kaden with me to see the booth the man was in,
"Why hello there, beautiful young couple I see!" The man announces as I smile and Kaden grips my waist while looking at the man with a cold stare,
"I see the pretty lady likes the big teddy bears!" he says picking up a panda that was the same size as me as I shrieked with happiness,
"Can I hold it?" I ask with a big grin as he hands it to me,
"Its so fluffy!" I gasp happily while hugging the soft panda with a grin,
"It can be all yours for the price of 20 gold coins" he says with a grin as I gasped at how much money that was,
"Oh Im sorry, I dont have an-" Just as I was about to hand it back to the man a sound of something being slammed down in front of the mans booth as I looked to see Kaden placing a pouch full of gold coins on the booth,
"Keep the change" he says before pulling me away as I look at him in shock,
"You didnt have to-" before I finished he cut me off with a low growl,
"You are my mate, it is my honor and duty to serve my princess" he says kissing me as I forgot all about it,
"Now lets check out the beautiful antiques and jewelry they have so I can buy the most expensive ones for you" he says with a smile as I look at him surprised at how much he wanted to spoil me,
As we walked towards the jewelry booth Kaden stopped making me turn to him with a confused look.
"Whats wrong?" I asked as he put his nose in the air with a clenched jaw,
"Rouges" he says with a growl before I heard screams and everything happened fast....
