Amelia was glad that Harry was staying at the Burrow for more ways than one. One of the few exciting ways was the fact that she had a partner at dinner to keep her Uncle Arthur's questions rolling. He now had two people to bombard with questions about the ever so interesting muggle life. He just didn't know what to do with himself.
Amelia stretched, the morning light shining in her eyes. A spike of pain shot through her head when the first thing she saw was that overpowering light. For a few moments she just lied there, watching the pathway of light that made it all the way to the door. Enjoying the content feeling in her stomach. Contentment was a thing not easily achieved. An emotion usually falling between happy or anxious. It usually only happens for people once during their day, if at all. What did she have to be worried about? It was slipping her mind. Harry was here, safe. She hadn't had a nightmare in a few days, nothing disproved of her being content. A smirk laced her lips, she thought she would never be able to even think this but- she was ready for her second year. Her opinion would probably change by the end of the day, but for right now she felt very secure to take on any challenges that her second year would throw. She heard some of her bones crack as she stretched out along the length of the bed, humming as the feeling in her belly seemed to swarm with heat. In a split second she swung her feet over the bed and took a deep breath, letting her chest rise fully. Time to start the day.
Her hair swung back and forth as she bounced into the kitchen. Her eyes instantly flung to Ginny scrambling on the floor to clean up what looked like her spilled breakfast. Amelia pressed her lips into a thin line, to hold in the giggle that was rising in her throat. She bent down so she was squatting next to the petite girl. "Saw Harry again huh?"
Ginny nodded hurriedly. At this movement, Amelia didn't try to hold in her giggle. She gave Ginny a smooth pat on the shoulder and stood back up straight. Amelia stopped when she came to her normal spot at the table. Sitting cleanly in front of her chair was a letter, with her name written in cursive across the the front. Her second Hogwarts letter in her entire life had arrived. Without really knowing what she was doing she pulled out her chair. Her actions were unconscious, as she plopped down on the chair- her eyes never leaving the letter. Slowly her hand reached forward and unfolded the thin piece of paper. She liked the way it felt in her hands, and the smell that drifted to her nose. New parchment. Her head bobbed up, suddenly realizing everything was silent. Which was very off for the Weasley house. Everyone was consumed by their Hogwarts letters. Amelia's eyes fell back onto the object, that was basically her future in her hands. She began to scan the contents of the letter.

Amelia had just finished reading when Fred sparked the conversation. "You've been told to get all Lockhart's books, too!" Amelia's eyes bounced from each Hogwarts letter scattered on the table, apparently they all needed to invest in these books. It looks like a trip to her parents were in her near future. "This lot won't come cheap." George said while stirring his oatmeal. "The new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher must be a fan- bet it's a witch."
Amelia snorted at his comment, and rolled her eyes. The boys believed that all girls went crazy for Lockhart. "Yes well, we will manage."
Amelia looked up at her aunt, as she was hovering near Amelia. She gazed at the look on Mollys face. Her lips were pressed into a thin line, and she was looking at the list without really seeing it. Amelia knew they were good at managing, could they manage with this? Amelia shook off the thoughts as she focused on her own breakfast. "You're going to Hogwarts this year?" Harry asked in an effort to have a coherent conversation with Ginny. Amelia glanced up, trying to hide her smirk behind her mouth full of food. Ginny nodded excitedly, but she couldn't get the words out. Her blush was as red as her hair. Amelia's eyes darted to Harry to see, his eyes looked faded. I think he was sick of trying to have conversations with Ginny because she wouldn't even respond. "Amelia, go get dressed, we are heading to your parents." Her uncle said without even looking up from the Daily Prophet.
