After a restless couple of hours, you managed to doze off only to be awoken a mere two hours later by an owl pecking at your window. You groggily got up and opened the window, the owl took that as an invitation to enter and flew in perching its self on your bed. You grabbed the letter attached to its leg and hesitantly opened it half expecting some kind of reprimand from McGonagall. It, to your joy, wasn't from a teacher, it was from Fred. It wrote,

Y/N,

Are you alright? I haven't heard from you since you woke up from your accident. I don't mean to sound pushy or clingy, I'm just worried about you, Ginny hasn't sent word yet, or if she did it hasn't arrived yet. Just write me back, please.

Love, Fred.

You facepalmed. You had meant to write him, but it had slipped your mind. You grabbed a quill and parchment and began writing.

Dear Fred,

I'm really sorry, it slipped my mind, as you can imagine.

I am fine after resting for a few days.

I will write you again soon.

Y/N

You rolled the parchment up and tied it to the owl's foot before sending him off to deliver the letter.

Looking over at your desk you saw the seemingly endless pile of homework and hesitantly started on it.

As of an hour later you had finished most of it, you looked at the clock and noticed it was ten minutes until your first class. Guess you were going hungry till lunch. You got dressed and stuffed your school things into your bag and ran out the door.

The halls were practically empty except for a few students on their off period. You bolted down the hall until suddenly. Thud! You were on the ground. You looked up to see what you hit and standing before you was a figure in long black robes with oily sleek black hair.

"L/N." The horse voice said.

You hurried to your feet, panic coursed through your body. "Headmaster." You'd always hated Snape, he was such a bully.

"I dot believe we've been formally introduced."

"No, sir."

Well," he started, "welcome, miss L/N." he paused. "You best hurry along, lest you be late for class."

You ducked your head and hurried along to class.

Sorry it's short, but I wanted it out by today (Valentines day)

Thankfully I know where I'm going with the next couple of chapters so they'll hopefully be out sooner rather than later.
