Blood.
Blood everywhere.
People injured.
Humans dead,

"Y/N!"

Takuma yelled as Alek hurled a boulder at me. I swiftly dodged it and rolled out of the way when I saw the ebony dagger across had given me. Reaching over, I grabbed the blade and rushed at Alek while he was distracted and pulled my arm back, prepared to plunge the dagger into his heart and end this.
Right as the blade was about to pierce his skin, a blood whip pulled me back into a stone cold chest,

"Not so fast, my dear Y/N."

My heart froze. I knew that voice,

"Senri! Let me go! Please! Takuma help!!"

I tried to plead with Senri as I screamed for Takuma. Senri looked at me, but his gaze was no longer warm. His eyes were devoid of any and all emotion. I saw Hanabusa coming up behind him, a sadistic smirk on his face,

"He can't help you now."

Hanabusa said, his eyes blank and his tone stoic as he rolled a blonde head at me. When the head stopped rolling at my feet, I Takuma's emerald eyes staring blankly back at me, fear etched into them as I began to shake,

"Takuma.. no..."

I said in a shaky voice as silent tears fell from my eyes. I wanted to scream, but I knew it wouldn't do any good. I looked around and saw Akatsuki  had fatally wounded Zero with a fireball, and Kaname had killed Cross and RIdo. I felt a scream rip through my throat as Alek picked up Zero's gun at pointed it at him. Zero's eyes met mine and he smiled at me as Alek pulled trigger, turning Zero to dust. My world was crumbling around me as Alek came up to me and cupped my cheek in his hand,

"You see? Your little plan has failed, dear sister. As it was destined to. And now,"

He pried the blade from my hands and held it in his own, a sadistic and cruel grin forming on his lips as he angled the blade to face my heart,

"It is time to remove the only obstacle in my path...you."

He took the blade and drove it into my heart.

I woke up in a cold sweat, silent tears still clung to my face as my eyes darted around you room,

it was just a dream,

I thought to myself as I slowly got out of bed and walked out onto my small balcony, needing fresh air as the horror from my nightmare replayed in my mind. I looked at the forest behind the moon dorm and saw Rido looking up at me. Our eyes met as his gazed pierced through me. He raised his hand and motioned me to come down. I jumped from the balcony and landed gracefully on the grass. As I approached Rido, his warm smile fell upon seeing the tear stains on my face,

"Y/N.."

he said softly as he wiped the stray tears from my face,

"What happened?"

"I.. had a nightmare."

I explained my nightmare to him and he frowned before pulling me into a tight embrace,

"No matter what happens.. I will not let you die by his hand, nor any hand either mortal or immortal. You have nothing to fear, my love. He will not touch you. I can promise that."

He held me close and caressed my cheek softly. I smiled, blushing slightly as I responded,

"Thank you, Rido. I trust you. I know you'll always be there to keep me safe."

I said softly as I played with his hair. I had never realized how soft it was until now. I blushed slightly, thinking about how I wanted to run my fingers through his soft locks and gaze into his captivating eyes,

"You're staring, Y/N."

Rido smirked, making me blush more and avert my eyes,

"S-sorry."

I  stuttered out, beyond embarrassed as he chuckled at me,

"It's alright. I don't mind."

He said smoothly as he held the back of my head gently and kissed my forehead softly. I smiled slightly, happy that he cared for me so much and that I could rely on him,

"I'm scared, Rido. What if this doesn't work?"

I asked softly. He tilted my chin up gently so I was looking into his eyes. I saw the affection he held for me reflected in his eyes as we gazed at each other. His voice was definitive and reassuring as he spoke to me,

"This will work. Don't be afraid, darling. We won't allow any harm to come to you. I promise Y/N, you will be safe."

I nodded and rested my head against his chest again, relishing in the safety of his embrace. I knew we would be going into battle soon and that it would be dangerous. Hell, we may not even survive. But for the moment, I just wanted to stay with him like this and let my anxiety and fear blow away with the breeze that passed us by.
