                                                       Chapter Three

"Carson!" Abigail, my thirteen-year-old sister, shouted as she pointed to the television in front of her. "Look!"

I sighed as I continued to wash the dishes. "Kind of busy right now..." I mumbled.

"But it's really important!"

"Unless Channing Tatum is on the screen then I refuse to even look."

"What if told you Chace Crawford was on the screen?" Abbie turned around and looked at me from the couch as she wiggled her eyebrow since she knew that I couldn't resist the oh-so glorious sight of Chace Crawford from Gossip Girl.

I stopped what I was doing immediately and walked towards the small living room of our apartment while I wiped my hands with a cloth. I had expected to see another promo for next week episode of Gossip Girl but instead, I came face-to-face with the host of Star News, Keri Richardson. Her blonde hair was teased into a big poof making her look like the next Snooki and her face, as usual, was caked up with makeup. When the woman started to speak, I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

"I'm going back into the kitchen-"

"Wait!" Abbie cried as she looked at me with her big brown eyes. "It's about Ever After!"

I shrugged. "So?"

Just as Abbie was about to say something, Keri Richardson caught my attention with the one thing I knew would happen...

"Ever After's lead singer, Vincent Gray, was spotted leaving his high school with a mysterious girl who kept her face hidden with her hood," she started as blurry pictures of Vincent and I popped onto the screen. "No words on who this girl may be but it seems as though Vincent is moving on pretty quickly from his previous girlfriend, Jane Torres...."

My thirteen-year-old sister  narrowed her eyes at the screen. "Isn't that your sweater, Carson?" Abbie then looked at me questioningly.

I folded my arms across my chest and again, I just shrugged. "Yeah, so?"

Abbie had her mouth hanged wide open as if I had said the one thing that was a disgrace to her ears. "Carson!" Abbie cried out. "Are you insane?"

"What?" I responded, gesturing towards the television. "It's not like I'm in the car with Ryan Gosling. It's just Vincent."

Abbie threw a popcorn at my face. "He's the lead singer of Ever After and uou're acting as if he's nothing--"

I rolled my eyes. "Compared to Ryan Gosling, in my opinion, he is nothing-"

"Yes," Abbie continued looking slightly more irritated. "But he's still freaking famous. What the hell were you doing in his car anyways if you hate him so damn much?" She crossed her arms and I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

Abbie, just like myself, had grown up around with Vincent.

Was she as close to him as I was growing up? No, because 1) She still believed guys had cooties at the time, 2) She actually thought Vincent was creepy as hell when he had that cave-man hair back then, and 3) There was a big five year age difference between us, so it only made sense that Abbie kept a distance. However, now that she was older and she fully understood her connection to Ever After, well, the girl immediately regretted not getting to know Vincent better because now, just like Gracie, she was an ultimate fangirl who was obsessed with anything related to Ever After.
