"Be in this world like a stranger" - Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Adam's POV

"Adam!" I hear a faint sweet voice calling my name but I don't give any response as I am too tired to answer.

"Adaaaaaaam!!!!" I hear the same voice yell making me jump up.

"The hell!"

"Get up! Its time to pray fajr" Arina says and walks off to put her abaya on over her sweatpants and loose shirt.

She still wears the hijab in front of me which is quite irritating.

I brush my thoughts away and get up to make wudu. I'll be honest, I've started to like praying as it gives my heart and soul peace.

When I am done making wudu I come out to see Arina ready with the prayer mats waiting for me because we pray together when we both are at home. I finish my prayers and get up for some sleep but am stopped my Arina. What now?!

"Why don't you join me for recitation?"

"Some other day"

"Adam! You have to cooperate with me and listen to what I say when it comes to helping you. That's a part of the deal!"

"I never denied! I am just saying some other day. Stop acting like those annoying typical wives!"

"I'm not acting like any typical wife! All I'm saying is that start reciting Quran with me and its fine if you don't want to today but you have to recite with me from tomorrow on."

I just roll my eyes and walk off.

I swear she's so annoying! More annoying then the secretary whom I fired yesterday.

How I wish I could fire her too.

Arina's POV

Ya Allah Help me with this man!

He is the most annoying person on this planet! More annoying than Zaid is when he's high on chocolate.

When he walks out, I get up to take the Quran from the book shelf opposite the bed and sit on the couch to recite Surah Yaseen. When's done with recitation, I proceed towards the kitchen to make a quick breakfast.

Once done with making breakfast I call Adam to eat. We have our food in pin drop silence neither of us talking.

Adam goes to get ready while I clean up the table and put the dishes in the dishwasher, press the buttons and proceed towards the bedroom ready.

While walking towards the walk in closet I fall into deep thoughts of future. Will I be with Adam after 5 months? Will the Contract be successful? I pray to Allah that it is successful. I want Adam to become his old self. I don't know much about how he used to be but Alina told me quite a lot about him and from that I can say that he was an amazing human and Muslim.

Ya Allah help me with this hard task. Make it easy for both of us. Ameen.

I suddenly bump into someone and am about to fall backwards but before I can reach the floor a pair of arms snake around my waist tightening its hold around the small of my back and pulls me up.
