UNDER EDITS, BUT VERY SLOWLY! I am loving Avengers Xreaders, so I am writing my own. I haven't really decided which Avengers I am going to write about. For sure, Steve, Clint, Bruce, Tony, and Nat. I have read alot of the comic's, and watched the mo...
"Hey I heard that you've been dating THE Captain America, like THE Captain America." My hot colleague, Lee, asked as I sat back enjoying the view from my new office. "You've been dating Rogers, but still thought to ask me out on a date a few weeks ago?"

I opened my mouth, but shut it when I didn't know what to say or how to answer his question. Technically Steve and I weren't dating, or even fake dating when I asked Lee out on a date a few weeks ago. It had only been a few days since Steve agreed to my proposition, and anways Lee had turned me down. Not only was my outwards persona not good enough for the company but Lee stated that he saw me as one of the 'good girls', someone he supposedly respected, and thought of as a friend. Even though I don't think that's at all what it was. I was an easy going, little crass, twenty-nine year old shut in while Lee Macmillan was a thirty-three year old greek god, known to sleep around with only unavailable women, a womanizer, and an all out bad boy. Usually not someone I would be attracted too, but goddamn, I was irrevocably attracted to him. Maybe it was because he was so tall, or the dark brown hair that only made his deep green eyes shine and stand out more, or the dimples in his cheeks when he smiled, or the fact that it had been a very long time since I'd had sex...
I pursed my lips as I watched Lee's 6'5, muscled, but lean body plop down in one of my office chairs. His green eyes searched mine and his dimpled smile almost made me blush. "Uh, hello, earth to (y/n), you alright?" He asked, bringing my attention back to the now. "Uh, yah sure," I mumbled, biting my lower lip. I pried my eyes off his off white button up shirt that fit his chiseled chest perfectly. "Uh, yah sure?" He snickered, stretching out his long legs in front of my desk. "Is that your answer to the first question or the second one?" "I have no idea, what exactly do you want me to say here MacMillan?" I asked, finally meeting his green eyes head on. "Nothing, I just didn't know you had it in you, to, you know, do something like that, especially to Captain America." He answered, jumping back up and leaning over my desk towards me. "Maybe you are a bad girl."
"Uh sorry to interrupt, but Lee, Mr. Mercy needs to see you." Kayla announced, breaking me from Lee's penetrating gaze. "Sure, I guess I'll see you tonight (y/n), I mean I'm sure the Captain has something better to do than go to a small company get together, huh?" Lee hinted, leaving the innuendo hanging in the air as he left my office.
"Jesus Christ, even my panties began to fall off a bit..." Kayla snickered, closing the door behind her. "Okay while I'm not going to get into another debate with you on all the cons to dating or sleeping with that man, I am going to tell you that, yes, we do have a company function to go to tonight, Mr. Mercy wants you there because the President of your account, Mr. Pearson, will be there and wants to meet you." Kayla said excitedly. "So go buy yourself a new dress, and be at Tilly's restaurant by seven p.m." "You know I don't do so well at parties Kay." I reiterated, standing up and smoothing out my black pantsuit I had bought yesterday. New office, new suit. "Doesn't matter," my strawberry blond friend insisted. "Everything has opened up for you now, especially now that your dating Captain America, which I gotta say I'm surprised that he agreed to this." "Pff you and me both," I replied, miffed at what she had just said, "at first he didn't, he stormed out of the coffee shop, so I had planned on telling Mercy that I couldn't accept the position, and that you are a twat, but he came back and said if this promotion was that important, that he would do it." "Hmm, care to explain to me why you aren't going after Captain hot pants, instead of going after King of the womanizing aisle?" Kayla asked, leaning against my desk. It was a question that she asked me about once a week, but it still unsettled my stomach everytime she asked. Steve wasn't interested in someone like me, he should be with someone like Tasha, or even that blond he seemed to talk about all the time. We were best friends, and I loved him more than anything, but that's as far as either of us could take this, at least that's how we structured our relationship. Both of us were so busy running our lives, saving people, working through the night to meet deadlines, that I never brought it up about changing our relationship, and neither did he. Why would we? We had a good thing going, we were friends, and I wasn't going to do something stupid and ruin that by admitting to anyone, let alone myself, that I was attracted to Steve, that he was soley responsible for giving me a reason to wake up in the mornings and fight thru my day, but that attraction I stored away, never talking about it or even thinking about it. "See you've thought about, haven't you?" Kayla asked, smoothing out her expensive pencil skirt. "Nope, he's my best friend Kay." I huffed, pushing my hair from my face. "Besides I don't think I'm quite Steve's type." "I don't think your Lee's type either, yet here he was drueling," she growled, stepping towards my door. "Just be careful, don't make this situation any more difficult than it already is." "You gave me this fucken situation, remember that?" I snapped, watching her smile as she opened the door. "Oh no, I got a promotion, and now I might be involved with two hot guys instead of none," she mocked, "yah, you're life is so hard."
