how to write (your own goodbye)
emotions
are tangled threads tied to a canvas
they are over-lapping bundles of confusion
each string painted with vibrancy of liberation
constructing beauty through tight constriction.

words
are geometric boxes of punctilious phrases
each with impervious edges designed to dissipate disorder
they etymologise connotations like bricks of substance
bathed in the brutality of excessive eloquence

i
am the saturated canvas exuding colours
with undertones of undefined feelings
simmering and boiling like an arson's liquid
close to exploding having lost semblance to bring languid

tonight
is too vast and too momentous
for me to put into squares
it bursts from the shredded seams
and pervades each whisper of a dream

writing
is dainty and delicate like a crystal
it is rambunctious and red like lips
focus on the slant of each syllable
and you'll forget you're writing your
your goodbye
