Part 5

Chloe and Lauryn shuddered at the thought of what may have happened if they had been unsuccessful. Neither Chloe nor Lauryn dared to advance in their quest out of fear, but out of courage and heroism present went to past and they carried on.

Once walking away from the memorable scene relaxation overwhelmed them and took over the need to continue their quest for the rest of the day.

Chloe-"woah"

Silence flooded the forest.

Lauryn-"yeah. That just happened."

Chloe-"well..."

Lauryn looked around to see endless trees surrounding them, taunting them, daring them to try and escape. The moon was concealed above the branches although some beams of white light seemed to squeeze their way through.

"I think it's time we rest."

Lauryn-(calm but shocked)"good idea. You get wood, I'll start the fire."

Chloe-"I wonder where I'll get it."

Lauryn-"ha ha ha very funny I hope that tree dissolves your favourite clothes."

Chloe-"you want me to have no clothes??"

Lauryn-"ugh, I didn't mean it like that. You know what I meant, now just go and get some wood."

Chloe-"I wonder where I'll ge-"

Lauryn-"yeah, you've already said that you dipshit."

Chloe-"alright alright, I'll go get the bloody wood."

Lauryn-"meet me here when you've got it."

She took off her black schoolbag and hung it on a branch level to her own height. As Lauryn turned around she saw Chloe still stood there staring at a beam of moonlight.

"why are you still here? Go get the wood."

Chloe-"look around smartass."

Lauryn-"yes, I know we're in a forest but go and find some wood that's already on the ground. And make sure it doesn't have bugs on it."

Chloe-"fine. Anything else you need? Some leaves? Some dirt? Maybe something else that's obviously everywhere?"

Lauryn-"just go already!"

Chloe exhaled heavily in frustration.

Chloe-"I'll be back when I find some wood...wonder where I'll get it from."

Lauryn turned away towards her hanging bag out of frustration and punched it.
