It wasn't that far of a drive. I needed to see him. He had been gone for too long. I thought he was dead. He kept disappearing on me. He told me where to find him.

I signaled my left turn and pulled in to the motel parking lot. The streetlight illuminating the parking lot flickered its yellow glow ominously. It wasn't some supernatural force, but it could've fooled me. I parked in a space in front of the main part of the building. I got out of the driver's seat and shut my door, then headed to get my duffel bag from the trunk. I approached the open-faced building and climbed the stairs to the third floor. I knocked on the door labeled '316'.

"Cas," I called out gently. "Please be here. I need you."

The door opened moments later. He stood there with that sexy smirk he only gets when he's very tired and pulled me inside. He closed the door with his angelic powers and pulled me to the beds. He held me close to his body and sat both of us down on one of the beds.

"I've missed you so much, (Y/N). Heaven has been, well..."

"Hell?" I supplied.

"In a manner of speaking," he chuckled. "How are you doing? I know I've been gone a long time. I've just been helping the boys and–"

"I know," I cut in. "Cassie, I know that what you do is very important. You and the boys save lives! Literally every life in the world at some point. How many apocalypses have you guys stopped now?"

"(Y/N), it's our job. We don't choose to save everyone. It's just that we're the only ones who can. And I asked how you were. You still have not supplied a sufficient response."

"I'm fine, Cas," I chuckled at his formality. "I've missed you, that's all."

He laid down, pulling me on top of him. He took down my ponytail and ran his hands through my hair, whispering sweet nothings to me as we just held each other, staying close as if we might lose each other forever.

"I love you. I really do, Cassie. You make me complete."

"I do not have much experience in this 'love' dealing, but I know that the feelings I have toward you are strong, (Y/N). If I love anyone, it's you. More than anyone or anything else in the universe."

"Can I stay here tonight, Cas?" I asked motioning toward my duffel bag I had dropped at the front of the room. He nodded and let go of me only to let me set up my things.

"How long are you in town, Cas?" I asked, taking out my bathroom bag and walking toward the bathroom to set up.

"Until the Winchesters call me. They are currently getting word on the nephilim that lucifer has created. I am just sitting here, waiting with you as log as I can."

"They got you on a tight schedule, huh?" I called from the bathroom.

"I'm always happy to bleed for the Winchesters," he said with a dorky smile. I walked back into the main room with my hands on my hips.

"Of course you are. You aren't the one who has to wash your bloodied shirts," I chuckled.

"Come here," he calls me over, beckoning me like a toddler would, opening and closing his hands while reaching for me. He takes off my flannel and lays me down in the bed.

"Take off your jeans," he commands.

"Whoa there, tough guy. Moving a little quick aren't we? Take me on a date first..." I giggle. He rolls his eyes at my antics.

"(Y/N), just get undressed. I like watching you sleep in my shirts, which you reminded me of, mind you. So it's your fault, if anything."

I stuck my tongue out at him and shimmied out of my jeans. He tossed me one of his white shirts he wore under the dress shirts. The shirt was so big. It made my frame look tiny in comparison.

"I love you," I said again. "Truly."

"I love you, too. Can we lay together now?" He asked eagerly. I giggled at his eagerness and nodded. He turned out the light and climbed in bed behind me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and nuzzles his head into the crook of my neck. Our legs were a tangled mess beneath the sheets. He sighed into my neck, creating a warm, tingly feeling.

"(Y/N), if I'm not here when you wake, the boys need me. It would have to be an emergency. I know you understand, but I must warn you of these things."

"I love you, Cas. I get it. I just want to lay here with you for the time being and just... be. I'm going to sleep. I know you don't sleep, but I still need to catch a wink or two while I'm here."

I felt his smirk as he wrapped his arms around me tighter.

"Maybe I should try this whole human sleeping thing..."
