Roselia's POV
-Friday-
Cleopatra was in danger! She's trapped inside that suffocating pyramid surrounded by armies of mummies and green alligators. She's a damsel in distress and had no way of protecting herself whereas I had a sword in hand and a full-body armor. The mummies had turned against Cleopatra when the Pharoah 'met with an accident' before sunrise. The alligators manipulated the mummies that they turned against their kingdom. Imagine a whole country run by alligators; it would be a disaster! They would trample their people, bite their heads off and replace the entire kingdom with alligators. I had to save her from those barbaric alligators heroically!
I ran to the top of the pyramid where the king of the alligators was situated. He sat on the throne which had developed a small layer of slime from the fluids the alligators were secreting. His smug little face had developed a cheeky grin, looking down on me with condescending eyes. I couldn't wait to chop that little nose away from his head and feed it to his minions forcefully.
"Bold of you to come here alone." His dark, deep voice penetrated through my skin, but I had to remain strong. I needed to save Cleopatra!
"I'm not alone." I smirked and lunged forward.
That alligator swerved out of the way and my sword pierced through the throne until the tip of my blade burst through the other side. By the time I pulled it out, the alligator was already down on his belly and slammed through my legs, making me fall on my butt.
Darn it!
Quickly getting up on my feet, I faced the alligator who was now back on his own two feet and wielding a spear with both his hands. He attacked me with a graceful fencing form and I moved out of the way just in time. I ran to pick up the sword which fell on the edge of the pyramid, dangling over the ledge, about to fall to the sea of armies.
But he was faster.
With a swift action of his feet, he let my sword fall to the other side, sliding down the entire height of the pyramid.
"No weapons at all, soldier!" The alligator growled through his sharp teeth. "Who's going to help you now?" His claws almost met the surface which protecting my heart and I waited for the bitter end.
I'm sorry Cleopatra.
A breath of fresh air swept me off my feet and into the hands of a knight on fire. From my peripheral vision, I saw his full-black armor on fire. Damn those alligators! They want to disintegrate everything in their path.
However, the fire did not diminish the shine from my knight's armor. His armor glowed with brilliance and I realized, the fire did not affect him at all. In fact, his flames made him shine like the sun, enveloping me with a warm embrace. He himself was responsible for radiating the fire from his body, melting those who tried to hurt the people he protected.
I looked up to see his face under his armor and-
"Move you pretty butt up the bed." Dani slapped me in my rear which jolted me awake.
"I WON'T HAVE CLEOPATRA KILLED!" I shouted at the top of my lungs and stood up from the bed. I looked at my surroundings and received confused responses. Beside me, Dani crossed her arms in annoyance and rolled her eyes. Vanessa was sitting in front of the mirror, just about to apply her tenth layer of lipstick when she looked at me from the mirror, giving me an expression of bewilderment.
Hey! It's not my fault no one saw those alligators! They were huge in my dreams.
I shuddered at the thought of those alligators lunging at me and shook my head vigorously to dissipate the after-effects of that dream.
