◾ Ace's little pet ◾"Why don't you just have a little get together." Abbie asks Rose, from across the kitchen counter.
"Because I'm turning seventeen, I need to have a party." Rose says back in a duh tone, before she puts another piece of cake in her mouth.
"What's your mother going to say?" Abbie crosses her arms and raises a brow.
"She won't say a thing, besides I'm not going to have it here, I was thinking about renting a free lot or something for the night."
I sip on my coffee as I lean against the wall of Rose's wooden kitchen. Abbie scoffs and rolls her eyes.
"Fine it's up to you, but you had one last year why do you have to have another one this year?" She grabs a slice of chocolate cake while she tells Rose.
"Because I'm special." Rose flips her hair, I giggle at her action before I'm joined by Abbie laughing as well.
She sighs, "Fine, good point."
Rose just gives her a cheerful smile, and turns to me. She raises a brow as soon as I look at her.
"What?" I asked, frowning.
"You're quiet. What's up with you?" She says, Abbie soon gave me her attention as well.
"I'm not feeling well, that's all." I lied.
"Elle we would know if you were sick, and you're not sick.. so again, what's up?" Abbie says.
"Is it Ace?" Rose asks, in a serious tone, I breath in suddenly when I hear his voice.
But yet, I lied again, "No.. its not." I shake my head softly, "Seriously I'm fine, you two don't have to worry."
They give me questionable stares, I should be home under my blanket asleep right now, not here getting asked questions all the time.
"You would tell us though if something was serious, right?" Rose asks yet again.
"Of course I would." Lie. "Trust me, I'm fine and nothing is wrong."
"Okay.." they both drawl out at the same time, before they continue to talk about Rose's party.
Arguing if they should have it or not, if it will be expensive or not, and who should be there and who should not.
I had enough of it in the end and walked out of the kitchen, I walked outside to the patio, where I sat on a chair-swing and looked out at the scenery.
Rose lived in the suburbs, so most of the houses around her were nice and maintained. They clearly was rich, because of the cars outside and the big gorgeous houses. But Rose never seemed the sort to be rich.
I guess it didn't go to her head as much as it went to others.
It was a few days after the beach party, we didn't go to school today since it was canceled for some odd reason. So Rose invited Abbie and I around to plan her birthday party. But I'm really not interested at all in the party planning.
