@beyond_shank said I should do a part 2 to Coming Out back in August. I literally forgot all about it until @Jensenandjared4life also said I should a part 2 in March. So here we go. Since Coming Out was like 9 months ago, I suggest possibly rereading it before reading this. I'm also sorry about the length; it's really short.
"What are we going to do?" Dean sounded tired as the brothers arrived back at the motel. Only a few days had gone by since their father found out about their relationship and walked out on them, leaving it to them to finish what they came for. They were just arriving back after finishing the case.
"I'm not sure, but like you said, we don't need him in our lives if he's going to be an asshole"
Dean nodded, "Maybe he'll come around"
"I wouldn't get your hopes up" Sam said bitterly as they both got out of the Impala and walked into their shared motel room.
"You don't sound happy" Dean observed and wrapped his arms around Sam.
Sam relaxed back into Dean's body and said, I'm just mad that Dad can't see that what we have is special and accept it, or even just look the other way"
"I know, baby" Dean said before planting a small kiss onto Sam's neck.
Sam turned around in Dean's arms and said, "I love you" before softly kissing Dean's lips. His arms moved to rest around Dean's neck. Dean's hands slid into place at Sam's hips. He pulled Sam closer so their bodies were touching. Suddenly, the door to their motel room opened, making them quickly separate. John stood in the doorway.
"I really need to learn to knock" he mumbled, mostly to himself. Sam's face reddened slightly.
"I see you still have your key" Dean said.
John ignored him, continuing with, "I came back to tell you boys that while I don't approve of what's been going on between you two, I've realized that you both are adults. I can't stop you from pursuing whatever kind of relationship you want. I know that if I try to stop you, you'll just continue behind my back, so I'm not going to stop you. I just would rather not see... or hear you doing anything with each other. Got it?" Sam and Dean both nodded, too shocked to speak.
"Dad, are you possessed or something?" Dean asked.
"No. I'm serious, Dean"
"Really?" Sam asked, finally able to speak.
"Yes. Part of being a father for you boys is letting you go. You both are old enough to make your own decisions, so I'm letting you. Somehow along the line, I stopped being your father and became your drill sergeant. I don't want to be that way anymore. We're stronger as a family. So we go after the next thing. Together"
Sam and Dean both smiled before saying "Together" as one.
I've been feeling really insecure about my writing skills lately, so comment what you think of this one, it's not the best, though. 😕
