"So you guys became friends really fast, I bet"

Yep. Sure did. I had that nigga all over me the first two months.

Me and Jay got closer and closer by the day. I was receiving little waves and hugs when we walked past each other in the hallways. We started exchanging phone numbers to talk outside of school. And of course making quite an image for ourselves around the school. Everyone knew me and him vibed in a way and it brought on a lot of attention towards us.

Vanessa hated my guts still and now so did every other girl who has ever tried to get his attention. Damon was pissed and he hated Jacob for talking to me. I even got a bad vibe from Nicki too, who I consider to be a real good friend of mine. Maybe it's nothing and I'm just a little insecure about the attention. But I'm sure I'll find out soon.

:: Last Day of Junior year ::

"We're going to fucking L.A.!" Kehlani said, raising her voice in excitement.

"Yep! Already got the tickets and everything!" I said, piggy backing off of her.

"You two are so hype" Keisha folded her arms.

"They really are. What are y'all going there for anyways?"

"I told you guys I'll become a star one day, and this is the first step. All I gotta do is get myself out there. A guy is already paying for me and a friend to meet him at his recording studio. All those YouTube videos I've been working my ass on has finally got me noticed by someone"

"Aye congrats girl!" our friends said, giving Kehlani her credit.

"Thanks, and I wish I could take all of you guys but...he only said me and a friend. Not to show any favoritism or anything but I knew Dyme way longer"

"Nah it's okay. We know y'all like practically sistas" Miya said.

Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to the smell of a way too familiar cologne. "Hey" I smiled.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt y'all talkin', I just wanted to say hi" Jay said, smiling at everyone at the table.

"Hey Diya's new boyfriend" Keisha teased.

"Oh hell no, he's not even close" I said.

"So what you don't like me now cuz ya friends around. What about that conversation we had last night" he bended down to me, talking into my ear.

"Boy stop playing with me" I blushed, pushing him away.

"Awe y'all cute" Kel said, smiling at us both.

"Can y'all stop, it's not even like that"

"It sure looks that fucking way" Nicki growled, leaving the table.

"Woah..."

"What's wrong with her?" Kel asked.

"I don't know but I think I should get to the bottom of it. She's been like that all week" I stood up to me feet. "I'll see y'all later"

Chasing after Nicki, I followed her out of the lunchroom and out into the deserted hallways. I made a quick turn towards the lockers and saw her straight black hair in the distance. When I finally made it up to her, she sighed and looked away from me.
