Chapter 20

After nearly a month of not being in school. Today is our first day returning. Amara is more than capable of defending herself now if any of her old pack tries to hurt her and with me backing her up they won't know what's hit them. Driving to school, I smiled at Amara as we pulled into the school car park. All head's snapped in our direction.

"Are you ready for this? " I asked.

"More than ready, I'm not afraid anymore" she said with confidence.

"Good because we have a few unhappy looking wolves coming our way" I grinned wickedly at the thought's of them getting the shock of their lives with Amara if they piss her off.

"Let's go say hello" she smiled.

Like before all the humans disappeared from the car park. It must be a talent Gabriel has to clear the whole car park in seconds. That left Gabriel, his beta and third in command along with one of the pack sluts, clinging to Gabriel.

Opening the car door's we both stepped out, facing the wolves.

"Is their a problem boys?" I asked as I leaned against my car, Amara following suit.

"You have some neck turning up here Amara, we thought both of you got the picture that you aren't welcome here and disappeared" Gabriel snarled.

"We have a few thing's to sort before we came back, as for disappearing that won't be happening anytime soon" I smirked.

"Why would I disappear Gabriel, I have nothing to be ashamed of" Amara said looking right at Gabriel.

"Nothing to be ashamed of, you're mate is a filthy vampire, you're an embarrassment just like you're mother" he snarled.

"Watch who you are calling filthy Gabriel or i will remind you who is the stronger one" I glared at him.

"You are pathetic Gabriel, grow up, I can't chose who my mate is but I'm not going to give them up because it doesn't make you happy. You would know how hard that would be if you have found you're mate" Amara said, shaking from Gabriel insulting her mate and family.

"I wouldn't mate with a vampire even if she was my mate. Just do us all a favour and leave Amara, I can't stand to even look at you" Gabriel snarled as he started to shake.

"Sorry, no can do, you're just going to have to get over yourself Gabriel, I'm not going anywhere" Amara said standing up to her full height and glaring at Gabriel.

I know Amara has a good chance at taking Gabriel, his fighting skills aren't anything to be proud of. I will just make sure the other's the other's can't  join in. Knowing too well that Gabriel wouldn't stand for Amara challenging him, he shifted into his wolf, letting his Alpha ego get the better of him. Amara shifted into her auburn wolf, she is a lot bigger than what she was the first time she I saw her shift. I could see the other getting ready to join in and I smirked. I used my telekinesis and slammed them into the place, so they can't move or really breath too well. I gave them a smirk as they tried to move but couldn't even budge a muscle.

Standing back, I watched Amara and Gabriel circle each other. A month ago she would never have dreamed of challenging Gabriel, but then again a month ago, Gabriel didn't want to rip her apart. He isn't much bigger than Amara, but her mating with Rhys has made her stronger. Perks of the vampire mating. All Gabriel is really doing is snarling and snapping his teeth at her, trying to scare her. But it doesn't even affect Amara. She is concentrating on the skills she has learned from training with Rhys and myself. Gabriel made his move and went straight for Amara' s neck. I have to fight every instinct in me to protect her at all cost, I know she is more than capable of winning it's just hard to hold myself back. Amara easily dodged his attack and moved her head lower and bit into Gabriel' s paw, making him whimper. Inside I am doing a major happy dance. Again Gabriel made the same move but Amara moved faster than he expected and used her back legs to send a hard kick into his mussel, making him stumble to the ground. He got back to his feet but before he had a chance to realise what is happening, Amara made her move and clamped her teeth around his neck, tightening her jaw as he struggled to break free. But that isn't going to happen, Amara has perfected that move. After a few more tries, Gabriel whimpered and went limp. She won. By rights the alpha title should be hers. But I know she wants nothing to do with his pack. She shifted back to human form and turned, smiling at me. I gave her a wink to show how proud I am. But I didn't miss what Gabriel was doing behind her back. He ran for Amara and jumped, his jaws open and ready to clamp around her neck. I slammed pain into his as hard as I could. He fell to the ground howling in pain. Amara turned around, shocked that Gabriel was going to attack her from behind. If he managed it, he would have killed her. He lay on the ground, shaking and fitting. The other's started whimpering, I pulled my power back and they feel to the floor, shaking. I looked at Amara confused.

"I think you are inflicting the same pain on the rest of his pack through him, Ruby" Amara said looking shocked.

Just to test the theory, I pulled my power back and they all slumped to the floor, trying to catch their breaths. I concentrated on Gabriel, slamming my power into him and the same thing happened again. They all fell to the ground. I pulled my power back for the last time.

"I think you're right Amara, that could come in handy, you should be proud of yourself, you kicked his ass and you didn't need to fight dirty like him" I smiled.

"That felt so good to be able to defend myself, I just wish it wasn't against Gabriel, but no one talks about my mate or family like that" she said looking serious. She has grown so much in the last few week's and it's brilliant to see.

"You are incredible, Rhys is going to be so proud. Right mutts, as you found out the hard way, you can't fuck with Amara or myself, so why don't you all do you're selves a favour and stay the fuck away from us. I would hate to have to inflict more pain on you're pack" I said smirking at Gabriel, who could only nod weakly.

I linked Amara' s arm and we both walked into school with our head's held high. The day flew  by and not one of her old pack even chanced looking at us. Amara never once looked scared or nervous. She head her head high with confidence.

Driving into the manor ground's, Amara is so excited to tell Rhys how she got on. But instead we drove into complete chaos. I parked my car up and jumped out. A frantic looking Marcus and a teary Lily walked towards us.

"What's going on? what's wrong?" I asked Marcus.

"You're safe lil Ruby" Marcus said crushing me to his chest.

"Marcus what's wrong, you're scaring me" I asked worried.

"It's Kyle, he managed to get on the ground's undetected, with a few of his men with him. He knocked Killian out and took him, but he has also taken Cody" Marcus explained.

Fear coursed through me at the thought's of Cody being in his care. Killian is unstoppable, but he isn't at full strength yet, he can't be killed but that doesn't mean he can't be hurt. Cody is only a baby and can't defend himself.

"Why did he take them?" I asked trying to figure out why he would take them when he wants me.

"For a trade lil Ruby, he wants you in return for Cody and Killian" Marcus said handing me a piece of paper.

There isn't much on it only a time and "you know how to find us" wrote on it. I need to follow my bond to Killian to find them. I don't have much time, only a couple of hour's.

"He must still think I have no power's, I will get them back Marcus and Lily. Where is mom and dad?" I asked looking around.

"One of kyle's men was captured, you're mom and dad are interrogating him to find kyle's location. But so far, it's seems Kyle has left the final location from even his men, I have already ripped apart the locations we got from the man" Marcus explained looking terrified. He knows how dangerous Kyle is and he is praying he won't touch Cody. Poor Lily is a wreck, she doesn't know what to do the same as Marcus. They have no more locations for them to search, their only hope was the man they captured and me.

This has to end and I will be the one to end it.
