'Are you ready, sweetheart?' I heard Jim's voice calling from downstairs. 'Are you sure we actually can go? Isn't Scotland Yard looking for you?' I asked him. 'They are, but who cares? They'll never find me anyway.' I heard him chuckle. 'So are you ready?'

'Almost! Give me one more minute!' I shouted. 'Another? You already had ten, maybe twenty. I don't know if I have many more minutes left. It's not much of a big deal; you don't need to dress very differently than you normally do.' Jim said as I watched myself through the mirror and criticised my look. No, this wasn't right yet. And I wanted Jim to love this look so badly...

'Besides... you already are beautiful, no need to change anything.' Jim added in a slightly softer voice but I could still hear him and melted because of his words. 'So come and don't let me wait any LONGER!' He shouted and hit the wall with his fist. I walked down the stairs with a smile on my face, carefully minding the steps I took with my high heels. It took me some time and effort, but I reached the floor without falling.

'Wow... good evening, my lady.' Jim said as a proud smirk appeared on his face. His eyes widened as I walked down the stairs. 'Turn around.' He said and I spun around, enjoying the way my dress spun along with me. He offered me his hand and I took it with a smile on my face. He looked so stunning in his Westwood suit and I already knew we were going to be the best dressed couple at the party.

'Let's go.' I said but Jim looked at me and the glimmering in his eyes was nowhere to be found. 'No.' He said. 'I'm going alone.' Disappointment and anger mixed inside of me and I looked at him, clearly confused. 'What? You said we'd go together!' I protested but Jim let go of my hand and shook his head.

'No, darling, I'm not going with you for every man will try to steal you from me when you look that pretty... unless you tell me you love me.' His smile returned as I kissed him and told him I loved him. So did the mischievous lights in his eyes.

'Now, let's go before you change your mind.' I said happily and locked the door behind us. 'Let's go!' And with that, we almost danced through the streets. I couldn't wait to arrive at the party and show off my boyfriend to all of the guests. We had to settle some stuff but after that we would dance all night and drink classic drinks. This night was going to be great and the fact that I got to spend it with Jim made my lips curl up until the corners of my mouth hurt.

But, unfortunately, happiness can't last forever. 'Look who's here...' I said and pointed at around twenty men who came rushing towards us. 'Freeze! Don't move!' A low manly voice growled. I pinched in Jim's hand as my free hand searched for the gun I had hidden underneath the skirt of my dress. 'No yet.' I heard Jim whisper in my ear. 'Wait for the opportune moment.'

'Put your hands in the air where I can see them!' The low voice commanded us and pointed a large gun at us. I raised my hand a bit and Jim looked at me sternly. 'Don't let them tell you what to do.' And with that I lowered my hand again.

'I said: "Put your hands in the air"!' The man repeated.

'No.' Jim simply said with annoyance in his voice.

'What?' The man said, clearly astonished.

'I said: "No."'

'Why not?' The man asked and stared at Jim.

'I don't want to.' Jim answered him.

'But... I've got a gun...' The man said, not knowing how to handle the situation and clearly beaten by Jim.

'I don't care.'

'But...' He looked around to meet the faces of his co-workers. 'This doesn't make any sense!'

'Too bad.' Jim said and slightly chuckled when he spoke.

'Well... the newspapers said you had a whole business going on... so where are your friends?!' The man seemed to have gained some control over himself and his voice became louder with every word he said.

'I don't know.'

'Yes you do know!'

'No, I don't know.' Jim said and shrugged his shoulders. 'Shoot me then.'

The man had lost all of his control and looked around for support of his colleagues, asking them what to do with his eyes.

'Now!' Jim shouted and I wanted to grab my gun but Jim dragged me out of the eyesight of the policemen and ran off. 'You said they weren't going to find you!' I shrieked. 'Of course they were going to find us. But you wanted to go so badly, I couldn't live with myself if you let this wonderful evening pass you by.' Jim said sweetly and pushed me in the nearest bar to hide for the policemen.

'Leave your gun where you've hid them.' Jim said and placed his hand on my upper leg where it was hidden. 'Jim?' I said but he continued. 'Safe your bullets for some more challenging enemies than those idiots.' He chuckled cutely and hadn't removed his hand yet. 'Er, Jim?' I tried again, but again in vain.

'Believe me, there are tons of people at the party who deserves to have their heads blown off.' He said.

'Jim!'

'What?' he asked.

'Look around!' He looked around to meet a lot of amazed eyes. The entire bar was full of elder people sitting around round little tables. They now looked at us. Some were smirking, others were staring astonished with big eyes and their mouth slightly opened.

A banner with 'Happy Birthday Steve!' was hung highly and I forced a smile. I lifted my skirt a bit and danced a short dance in the Irish way. 'Happy birthday Steve!' I shouted. 'May you have many more healthy years full of happiness and love!' I added and made an exaggerated bow before stealing a cupcake and dragging Jim out of the room.

'That was amazing! I didn't know you could do that. Where did you learn that dance?' Jim asked me. 'Oh, there are lots of things I can do that you have no known of.' I answered with a smirk. 'Oh really?' He smiled. 'Well, the night is still young. Shall we go?' He said and offered me his hand again. I nodded with a smile. 'Let's go.'

We entered the party both smiling brightly and Irish-dancing like there was no tomorrow.

A/N

Hey there!

I really hope you liked this Jim Moriarty one shot x reader! I love Irish-dancing, and imagine how adorably Jim/Andrew would dance it!  \(○^ω^○)/

The little dialogue between Jim and the policeman isn't all mine, some lines from that dialogue is from the odd, pretty aggresive but still fun film 'seven psychopaths' with the amazing Christopher Walken and Colin Farrell who also played Percival Graves in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find him. The rest of the story is all mine, just some lines are from the film.

But most of the words are all my own weird imagination.

Also, there's this song stuck in my mind for ages. If you ever feel down and want to smile again, watch the film: 'Singin' in the Rain'. You won't regret it. The song: 'Goodmorning' and 'Singing in the Rain' are stuck in my head but I don't mind it! They're so wonderful! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, please vote and comment and tell me what you think of this one! And comment: 'Happy Birthday' for Steve. I don't know any Steves but there's probably one Steve on Earth whose birthday is nearing. Probably... So: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!"

Thank you so much for reading, I really appreciate it!

Catch you later! ;-)
