It's been a whole year since Katie's life was turned upside down, a whole year since her mother died in a tragic car accident. Left with an abusive father the only thing that keeps her going is her mothers dream for her to finish college. Starting her freshman year at the University of South Florida, she intends to make her mother proud but that dream becomes a mess when not one but two professors become interested in her.
