"here is your check mr. and mrs. gilinsky." the waiter places it down lightly and walks away.

i smile at the name i was just called and i look up at jack who is smirking.

"its got a nice ring to it doesn't it?" he jokes and i nod.

jack pulls out his wallet and slips his card into the checkbook. a squeal behind startles me and i turn around to glance at who it is.

"jack gilinsky?" a smirk is plastered on their face and my mouth drops open.

"oh for christ sakes.." jack groans and throws his head back in frustration.

"hello val." they smile.

"madison." i state and bite the inside of my cheek.
