Chapter Thirty-Six

Ryder

It's been two months. Two months since everything happened.

I still don't like this idea of keeping 'it'

Same remember what we talked about. The child dies. She dies.

Still I hate this. I'm going to kill Ramon

I shut him out and then I heard a scream. Emerald! I ran over to where I heard her and then saw her, crying hysterically. "Baby what's wrong?" She started to hiccup and then her fist slammed down.

"J-Jordan. Ate...all my cookies!" I glanced up and saw him walk in, the cookies in hand. I rolled my eyes and stood up.

"Jordan. Cookies. Now" he threw his hands up.

"She is overreacting! These were mine!" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I-I only wanted one!"

"She ate fifteen!" She gasped.

"A-are you calling me f-fat?"

Both our eyes widen as she started to sob again. "See now look what you've done" Rae then ran into the room and then stopped in the doorway.

"Bad time?"

"Hormones" I mouthed to her. She rolled her eyes and giggled.

"AND ITS NOT BECAUSE OF MY HORMONES!" She screamed.

"Wait how did you-"

"A woman always finds out boys. Always." Rae then walked over to the sobbing Emerald and patted her back.

"Do you want me to kick Jordan in his balls?" She stopped crying and sniffled.

"Y-yes" she responded. I grinned and then Jordan dropped the cookies and then booked it, Rae chasing after him. I chuckled walking over, grabbing the bag and then setting them in front of her. She reached out and found a cookie with her hand, eating it.

"Thank you Ry" it was like she wasn't even crying a second ago. She immediately calmed down , eating away happily. Damn Hormones.

"Are you happy now?" She nodded, taking another bite. "What if I say we are going on a date tonight? You and Me, Me and you, alone for once" I pulled at her waist, making her squeal and sat her on my lap. She wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Hmm.. okay!" She cheered. Suddenly she then frowned. "B-but all my dresses are to small. I'm fat now" I out my hand on her stomach, rubbing circles on it.

"Baby, you not fat. It's the baby that's fat" she then gasped again.

"Y-you called my baby fat?!" Here we go again.

"What do you mean you got another letter?!" Emerald already went to bed and I was sitting in my office going through papers when Carter burst in.

"It was left at west entrance. One of the guards who was posted there had it embedded into their chest"

"Well get Jace. I need him to read it then"

"It doesn't have Braille writing. It's addressed to you" he held it out. I took it from him and opened the envelope. It was written. And I knew the handwriting.

Dear brother,
Thank you or taking care of my love,
When will my son be born? It is a boy am I correct? I want to see him. I want to take him home. My pup. Tell my love I will see her soon.  I can't wait,

"Sir the man had bite mark on the side of his neck"

I crumbled the paper in my hand and then looked down. There is no way he is getting to my mate and my pup. How did he know it was a boy?

"Carter. The day my pup is born I want guards stationed everywhere. I want patrols equipped with both Vamp and Werewolf weapons. Am I clear?"

"Sir a Vampire? Is there something you done to anger them?"

"Don't ask questions. Go!" He then ran out. I looked outside towards the west and saw the medics carrying the man on a stretcher, a white cloth over him.

This will mean war brother..

"Noooo! She's not allowed to die! She must be his true love!" Rae, Jace and I all sat on the couch, watching the Titanic. Well I heard it who she told me everything that happened.

"Why couldn't they just share the piece of wood I mean come on! I know it's cold but get over it!" I heard something crash.

"Now, now don't attack the tv, it did nothing to you"

"Ugh! Let me at it! I hate these stupid movies!" I giggled and got up. I could already tell Jace was holding her.

"Ill change the movie. You whine more than me and I'm pregnant" knowing Rae she probably rolled her eyes. I skimmed my hand through the selections.

"Hey which one is the-" then there was this weird feeling. Water trickled down my leg. Did I just peed myself? It wasn't pee.

"Emerald something wrong?" It was Jace's voice. Then Rae gasped.

"Her water just broke! We need to get her to the hospital now!"

"Wait. Wait. Where's Ryder?" They already were running me threw the hospital like mad mans, the doctors running at the sides.

"We contacted him he should be on his way" Ale assured me. Then a sharp pain in my stomach. I cried out gripping the metal bars to my side. "Her contractions are already starting. Get her to room 198" Ale went out of view and then a nurse pushed me into a room. Another pain and I screamed out. I was burning. God this hurt's so much.

The door slammed open and in my limited vision, Ryder was there, he held my hand. "Baby it's ok. It's ok. I'm here" his voice was soothing. My hand that he held started to burn.

I screened again and wriggled out of his grip, sweat was already starting to form on my head. "Alright Ryder your going to need to hold her hand threw this so it takes some of the pain away"

"No. no! It burns. It burns!" I shouted.

"Baby what burns?" He went to touch me again but I pulled away from his grip.

"Ryder are you not the father?" He stayed silent and shook his head.

"No..I'm not" it went silent for a bit until my next contraction and I screamed again.

"Alright Emerald your going to have to do this alone, ready? Push!"
