Arina's POV
The roads of Barcelona were deserted at this hour of the day as it was pretty early for a Monday morning. I've heard a lot about this city and done my research on it too before coming.
It is the 3rd most-visited city in Europe after London and Paris when it comes to visitors and I can clearly see why. The beautiful architecture, which so well reflects the general approach to life in this always pulsating city is one of the reasons people like visiting this city. The design movement history and the mesmerizing museums be it the FC barcelona museum or another are also the reasons for the visit.
This city is never really quiet, but at this early hour of the day it is a lamb in comparison to the lion it will soon become.
Turning my head away from the window, I looked at the people sitting with me examining them. I could see Alex sitting in the passenger seat with his ear plugs in his ears. His head was tilted against the window and he was sleeping with light snores.
Me, Alina and Adam were in the back seat. Alina was in her dreamland sleeping peacefully with her head on my shoulder and mouth slightly open making me smile. She is the younger sister I never had, Always up to something mischievous and her funny yet lame jokes are something to hear.
Next to her was Adam who was furiously typing onto his Iphone. I could see a frown forming on his forehead making small wrinkles appear. His jaw slightly clinched making his Jaw Line appear sharper. I think he realized I was staring at his face because he suddenly looked up and our gazes locked.
His captivating greenish blue orbs staring right back at me with pool of emotions swimming in them. I must say my husband is handsome with his jet black hair, greenish blue eyes, pale skin with a slight tan and a sharp jawline. The looks that girls back in New York die for. Who were for sure heart broken hearing the news of him marrying me about 4 months ago.
If the circumstances were different, It is true I would "Like" my husband more but our relationship is based on a simple contract that will end in no time.
Suddenly the car came to halt pulling me out the trance of thoughts and breaking our somewhat staring contest.
I don't know what this Barcelona air did to my head.
I look out the window to see we are stopped by the signal being red. I could see many people in their work attires walking and driving to their offices but their weren't many school students as it was just 8:00 and school starts at 9:00 mostly.
Soon the signal turned green and we were informed that we were nearing our accommodation for the day. Our cruise is to sail tomorrow morning giving us today to explore the city.
Looking to my right I could see the Columbus Monument stand tall and proud. The view was worth a capture looking beautiful. Small birds flying around the monument chirping in the morning cool air.
