"One more drink", that is what we have been saying to each other for about an hour now. And that was many drinks ago. John and I had been on a date earlier this evening and it truly had been great. But after a quick trip to the bar we had been a bit too excited and a bit too carefree with some of our friends we've met there. This was the reason why the barkeeper kicked us all out and before I knew it I was walking back home and now John and I were both lying drunkenly on the couch. Sherlock was visiting Mycroft, a thing I had demanded him to do for a long time and now, luckily, he had done as I asked. Luckily, because if he was still here he'd ask questions that I didn't fancy answering right now. So now I just laid on the couch and kicked John off it to gain more place. He now lay on the ground and giggled.

'I spy with my little eye and it is... green.' John said. We had been playing several children games and now we had decided that this was a fun game to do right now. 'Green? Green...' I said and looked around the living room. Everything seemed to turn and I tried my best to make something from the blurry lines I saw. 'Green? Are you sure it's green?' I asked John. 'No.' He answered and started to giggle again. I foolishly giggled along with him, loving the joyful sound of his voice.

'Your pen?' I asked, remembering it was green.

'No.'

'The painting?'

'No.'

'Please don't tell me that Sherlock put green eyeballs in the stove again!' I said and heard John laugh which told me Sherlock actually had put some in the stove. I sighed. 'Okay, my turn now. I spy with my little eye and it is...-' 'No let's do something else.' John cut me off. 'Like what?' I asked but he didn't answer and a silence fell. 'Oh, I feel like I'm at a funeral.' I complained after a while. 'Did somebody die?' I asked and watched how John tried to rise but fell again. I tried to help him stand but it was difficult. He stood eventually.' Alright, lassie, there's only one thing for it.' He said and smiled.

'What are you doing?' I asked curiously as John climbed up the table.

'There's an...

...inn, there's an inn, there's an merry old inn. Beneath an old grey hill. And there they brew a beer so brown, that the Man in the Moon himself came down, one night to drink his fill.' He sang and danced Irish-like on the table. It took him a lot of effort not to fall but he managed to dance without falling, a wide grin decorating his face as he did.

'Oh, the ostler has a tipsy cat that plays the five-stringed fiddle...' 'Sherlock's the fiddle!' I screamed through his song. '...and up and down he saws his bow, now squeaking high, now purring low. Now sawing in the middle.'

I had managed to stand on my own two feet and joined John in his dance on the table. I remembered the lines and sang along with him, both our voices cheerful and both our eyes full of joy. 'So, the cat on the fiddle played hey-diddle-diddle, a jig that would wake the dead: he squeaked and sawed and quickened the tune, while the landlord shook the Man in the Moon:'

We looked at each other, both smiling brightly, knowing the line that would follow. And then we screamed: '"it's after three!" he said!'

We bumped against each other because of our odd dance and both fell down. We hit the ground together, lying next to each other, moaning in pain and complaining but giggling too. Mrs. Hudson had opened the door and now looked at us with an odd look on her face. But that wasn't everything: I recognised Sherlock's shoes and I lifted my head to look at Sherlock who stared back at us with an astonished and not-understanding expression.

'Hey John.' I said. 'Yes, my love?' he answered. 'Look who's here.' I said and pointed at Sherlock. John lifted his head too and burst out in foolish laughing when he recognised Sherlock's face. I accompanied him in laughing before we both threw up on Sherlock's shoes.

Hey dear reader!

John would be so cute when he's drunk! (Did I really write that? I think I did...) ;-)

As you might know, I'm obsessed with many (really a lot!) fandoms, and Lord of the Rings (lotr)/ The Hobbit is one of them. If you haven't seen the films or read the books yet you really, really missed some pieces of art and I recommend you watch it immediately! The story is deep and makes you feel courageous and it really will make you think (especially lotr) but 'the Hobbit' makes you laugh and feel cheerful from the inside. The actors are amazing and the book is so well-written!

If you don't like Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit (why not?) than I'm really sorry for bothering you with this fandom. I just watched the films again and it only made the flame of fandom burn brighter so I'll be singing lotr songs and learning Elvish (Sindarin) for a while.

The song I used is 'The Man in the Moon stayed up to late' aka 'Bofur's song' which is a really funny song! Pippin (Billy Boyd) is a great singer too and he really made me cry my heart out several times with his beautiful voice... ("all shall fade...'" No!!! Faramir! *(╥_╥)*).

Yes, warning: the film will make you cry too. Not that pretty crying but really ugly sobbing. At least, it made me cry so loud that my mother came to check what on Middle-Earth was happening with me. And honestly, I don't know what was happening to me. Just, really, follow my advice and watch the films/read the books. Of course it's dorky but who cares!

Anyway, enough commercial for today. I really hope you liked this one! It would be really great if I made you smile with this short story! Thank you so much for reading and please vote and comment. Also, requests are always open!

Please let me know what you are. As in: an orc, hobbit, elf, human, wizard/witch or dwarf. I'd love to find out! I think I'm an Elf with Hobbit traits. And who's your favourite character? Favourite realm? Favourite song? Let me know, I'm in need of more people who share this fandom!

Thank you once again and...

...catch you later!

-XOX- A very happy MS

Galu, savo 'lass a lalaith!

(translation: Goodbye, have joy and laughter!)
