I'm a dad?

Devin gasped with a smile on his face as he stood up and held his arms out. I chuckled and gladly handed him the now sleeping baby. Devin's smile never left his face as he held the baby in his  arms and rocked it around gently.

"Oh my gosh Chris where did this cutie come from?" he asked as he sat back on the bed. I shrugged and told him how I saw the car speed off and the box on the road. Devin's eyes were brimmed with tears as I said this and kept his eyes on the baby.

"Some people just have no heart...it makes me so angry. How could somebody do this to such a sweet baby?" he wiped a stray tear from his cheek. I sat next to him and rubbed his back soothingly.

"Yeah it's just cruel. That's why we're here now. We're your family Devin." Devin flashed me a small smile and rest his head on my shoulder.

"I know. I wouldn't have it any other way. But wait they don't have ears?"  The young boy gave me a confused look.

"Yeah but surprisingly they can still hear. Manson's doing some research on what they could be." Devin smiled and pet the baby's soft hair.

"Well now that we have a baby in the group we should really get together some stuff for it. Like clothes, diapers, bottles stuff like that." Devin nodded and stood up gently rocking the baby.

"Well I'm sure Ryan Ashley can make little outfits for him. And we'll go shopping right away after we get to our next location."

I agreed. For the rest of the trip to Seattle which was only a few  hours, Devin held the baby, and played with it when it was awake,and all this baby talking. I just smiled thinking it was super cute. In the meantime I was texting Ash and Manson about it.

From Ashy bear: I bet Devin is all over that baby! I just told Ryan Ashley and she's all about making the baby clothes! We just need to figure out the gender.(girl;)

From Manson: when we get to Seattle go with Ash to get the baby some stuff I'll give you the money. Leave the baby with Devin. We'll discus more before the show.

I replied back to both if them before I decided to go to bed. For now me and Devin shared a bed which we didn't mind at all. No we haven't done anything we were just friends. Yeah he's attractive as hell as a boy and girl like damn that's rare. But Devin was just special to me. He was my first real friend here after Ash. Devin changed into a black T and matching pajama pants and sat on the bed next to the sleeping baby.

"So looks like they're sleeping with us?" he gave me a questioning look. I just smiled and nodded sitting down next to the baby looking down at him. By instinct I pet the small child's soft hair chuckling when they smacked their lips. I haven't  been this close to a baby in so long. I barely remember my childhood. I just remember not having friends and being an outcast because of my height. I have a younger brother. Well had...

"Alright mom let's get some sleep. We have a big day tomorrow." I nudged Devin making he laugh.

"Mom? Well in that case that makes you the dad." he stuck his tongue out.

"Me? A dad? I just turned 16 Dev." he shrugged and looked down at the baby.

"But who else to take care of this child then the guy who was sweet enough to pick them up. Most people would've just left them or thrown them in some shelter."

I nodded and lay on the bed pulling the covers over me and the baby. Devin followed suit. I reached over and turned off the light engulfing us in darkness with only the moon being our source of light. It was quiet except for the soft snores of Devin who was knocked out like  a light. I turned my head enough to see the baby staring back at me as  he sucked his thumb. I couldn't help  but smile and gently pet his hair until his bright blue eyes fluttered shut. Come tomorrow, everything is going to be different. But you're safe with us little guy.

****next day****

The following day I did as Manson told me and went out with Ash to go shopping for the baby. Devin was left with the baby and stayed in our trailer until we came back. Manson didn't want any of the others finding out about the baby until he could gather us all together before the show.

With that me, Ash and her partner Dani ended up at a nearby Wal-Mart getting lots of strange looks by the peasants. We just ignored them and carried on with our business. Ash and Dani were picking out the baby food, formula and toys reminded that Ryan Ashley would make some outfits for the baby. But Dani thought it would still be nice to get some clothes for the baby in the meantime. But there was one problem.

"Did you and Devin figure out what the gender was?" Dani asked hooking her arm with Ash's like she always did. Oh fuck me.

"Uhh well...not exactly. But I'm still saying he's a boy." Ash chuckled and shook her head.

"Nope. She's a girl girl girl. Even Dani agrees." I put my hand over my chest and fake gasped.

"Dani how could you?" Dani just giggled and lay her head on Ash's shoulder.

"Sorry sweetie. I'm her bitch I can't say no to her." she giggled before licking Ash's cheek. Ash just nodded in agreement. I rolled my eyes at the two young girls.

For the next hour or so we picked out some of the necessities for the baby and decided to stick with unisex clothes for it until we find out the gender but Ash insisted on getting the baby a little purple dress which I finally broke down to. If the baby is a boy and ever sees a picture of himself in a dress I'm gonna feel so bad for him. But he can blame his auntie Ash and Dani.
After we bought the stuff we snuck back to the site where the show would be and hurried over to my trailer where we found Devin with the baby and Manson.  Upon seeing us Manson stood up with a smile.

"It is a lovely child. But I hope you ladies bought diapers." I nodded and pulled them out of one of the bags setting them along with other stuff.

"Here I'll change them." Ash volunteered. "Now we can finally see if it's a boy or girl!" she clapped excitedly as Devin handed the baby to her. She laid the baby on the bed and removed the dirty onesie tossing it aside. I held onto Devin's hand feeling excited. Please be a boy. As he unfastened the diaper and pulled it down to reveal....

Ash gasped.

"It's a boy." she awed putting her hands over her chest.
