The large double doors opened ominously.

I frown. I couldn't see inside because it's dark. What? Don't tell me, is Prince Zero poor that he couldn't even afford electricity?

I grumbled, much more reason that I don't want to marry him.

"Hm Miss Crystle, don't tell me you're afraid of the dark? Please go inside already, master is already waiting for you." The butler said as he pushed me inside.

I turned around and saw him smiling weirdly before closing the double doors.

Dark. It's so dark inside. Not that I am scared or anything. In my previous life, as an assassin, we're always lurking in the dark.

My frown deepened when I noticed a movement in front of me. After a while, I suddenly heard a cold laugh.

I shuddered.

"My my! It's a first time that I saw a young lady not screaming or crying just because it's dark." Zero said as he clapped his hands.

"Wait, so am I supposed to cry or something?" I mumbled to myself.

I guess Zero heard what I said because he started laughing again.

"What an interesting young lady." The prince commented and at the same time, the whole room shone.

I squinted my eyes. So he's not poor, huh.

But.

What kind of nonsense i'm thinking right now! I should be alert and plan my escape if something happens.

As my eyes adjusts to the lights, I finally saw what kind of room I  am in.

It's a large office. It has bookshelves, paintings, antique furnitures and a chandelier dangling from the high ceiling. In front of me is a mahogany desk and a swivelling chair. Behind that is a large window.

A window! Good, there's a chance for me to escape!

"Your mind seemed wandering somewhere. What? Don't tell me are you planning on escaping through the window?"

I turned stiff. Seeing my expression, Zero started laughing again.

He started walking towards me. I only turned stiff and stood in my place without moving.

Zero held my hair as he started playing with it, "This seemed familiar."

I winced when he pulled my hair a little.

"Hm... not fake either."

Damn you bastard! My hair is freaking genuine!

After that, he suddenly walked in front of me. I looked down to avoid meeting his gaze. I might punch his face if i'm not too careful. Especially this guy is a masochist.

A hand suddenly appeared before me as Zero held up my chin firmly.

With correct lighting, I was able to see his face up front. I clench my fists to endure making rash action.

I tried getting my chin off his hand but he held it firmly. He looked shocked when he saw my face but after a while he let out a wide grin.

His free hand suddenly caressed my cheek. Out of impulse, I tried biting his hand but he immediately dodged it.

Zero finally let go of me as he look at me with interest, "Feisty, eh."

I held back my frown. Finally, Zero went back behind his desk and comfortably sat on his chair.

He fished out a paper from inside a cabinet before reading it out loud.

"Tell me Miss Amber Crystle, where were you when-

"I didn't do it! I didn't do it! I was with my friends talking at the balcony!" I lied smoothly.

After realizing what i've just said, I immediately covered my mouth.

Zero laughed at my actions, "Straightforward too. My my,  Miss Crystle, you're getting much more interesting." He paused, "Or should I say Miss Amber Trinity Scarlette!"

My face instantly paled.

I tried laughing awkwardly, "Amber Trinity Scarlette? Who is she?"

"Miss Scarlette, no need to lie. I've already made my personal spy investigate about you. And also..."

He stood up before walking in front of me,

"I already know that you're the one who did it." Zero whispered near my ear which made me shuddered.

I backed away a few steps,

"What are you talking about your highness, I don't have the guts to do that. Maybe you've just mistaken me for that girl." I lied. I kinda feel proud of myself for being able to lie straight to his face.

Zero smirked. There's something wrong with that smirk.

"I'm not wrong. Zero Venice is never wrong." He stated firmly.

"And." He looked at me with a sinister smile, "Zero Venice always gets what he wants. By hook or by crook."

I backed away and tried opening the door but for some reason... it's locked. It's locked! That butler! He knew.

"Ugh... I need to go. Now." I reasoned while trying hard to open the door.

Suddenly, Zero closed our distance as he trapped me inside his arms.

"You have no room to escape little tigress."

I started to panic. Unconsciously, I looked at the window. Then I gave Zero a victory smile.

"Wrong!" I shout as I stepped on his feet. Immediately, I ran towards the window.

"Wait! Don't...!"

I opened the window and without thinking, I jumped. But thanks to my power, I float to the ground without any problems.

"Guards! She escaped! Catch her!" Zero roared.

I could feel dozen of presence surrounding me. I looked around and saw Zero's personal guards which looked like assassins.

Damn it, i'm surrounded.

Those guards looked like they're trained. I could sense most of them are the same level as me while the others are on par when it comes to physical strength.

I felt a breeze pass through me as Zero appeared before me shaking his head.

"You really are something. Jumping down a window just to escape this marriage..."

He laughed coldly, "It makes me want you more little tigress! You're going to be mine!"

I cursed. Damn, what have I gotten myself into. The hidden character is also infamously known as being a yandere.

I jumped in surprise when I heard a buzzing noise coming from Zero.

Zero frowned before doing something with his watch.

He said with a sigh, "It looks like i'm being summoned. But remember little tigress, in the future you will be mine eventually. Guards, escort her to my place." Zero said as he disappeared on the spot.

I looked at the guards surrounding me. I let out a smirk before summoning a weapon.

I'm not going down without a fight.
