You were doing battle simulation training with Hyuse, since he had to practice using his new Border Triggers.

You crushed the shells of the Honey Brown Marmods with your custom Tamakoma staff Trigger.

You heard a Pink Marmod scuttle up behind you, so you whirled around and sharp blades jutted out of the blunt ends of your weapon. You used them like a windmill and in no time the Marmod's eye was cleanly cut in half.

You saw Hyuse finish off the last Golden Marmod with his Viper.

     "Yayyy!!" You heard Shiori cheer. "Marmods-0! Hyuse and (Y/N)-17!"

     You smiled faintly. You admired Shiori's cheerfulness.

     Hyuse grunted. "Another round, please."

Shiori beamed. "Another round of Yashamaru Marmods coming right up!"

You smiled at Hyuse. "Are you getting the hang of Border Triggers, Hyuse?"

He nodded. "Yes, thank you for asking."

Since when did he get so polite?

You two were left in an awkward silence for a few minutes until a Black Marmod appeared behind Hyuse.

You perked up.

"Hyuse, duck!"

He did, swooping down as the Marmod swiped its claw at him. You butted in and bashed its shell in with your staff.

"I could have taken care of that."

"You can thank me later."

"Yeah, well, look out!"

Hyuse sprung into action, unsheathing his Kogetsu and using it to crack the Golden Marmod's shell.

You stabbed its underbelly and nodded at Hyuse with thanks.

Hyuse gave a small smirk.

"You can thank me later."

You fought off a legion of Trion Soldiers as quickly as possible. You had to get to Murakami.
