I dive deeply into the water,
Hoping I'll sink but I know I'll float.
While the sea salt soaks into my skin,
And the seaweed beads into my hair.
I can feel the sand between my toes,
And only god knows the secrets within the water.
The wind blows and creates ripples that form into waves.
The shore is wet and washes away any print I'd ever leave.
My hair is dripping wet,
In which it smells so fondly of the ocean.
The water is so nice I'm just coasting,
Going with the flow of the waves.
I told myself I would never cave
But sinking to the bottom is what I crave.
Where I can become one with the sand,
And be vicious like the waves.
Floating among seaweed,
And fishes that glub.
As the water flows through me,
And washes over me like sand.
I came to understand my own existence,
And that as I am now is a me who is still growing and changing.
