As you can see, the Lake Eufaula Summer Spectacular was an actual annual event in Alabama for several years. ;-)
This is where the annual Spectacular was held, at Old Creek Town Park Recreation Area at Lake Eufaula, AL. The yellow pin also indicates where Danny took Mickmi for their first picnic in Chapter 12 ∞ the connection. Yup! Exactly there! ;-) You can find it in Google Maps/Earth.
