Once you don't like someone, everything they do irritates you.

Just take a look at this airhead— drinking beer and laughing out loud like he owns this place. It's not that I hate him (uhh maybe, I do), but I'm not just necessarily excited about his existence. I keep on wondering why Kevan likes to hang out with this douchebag.

All night, Kevan and Jed have been laughing like crazy while Jansen and I just sat in awful silence. Funny 'cause it seems like I can read Jansen's mind. I know he's dying to smash that bottle of beer in Jed's face, and I've been thinking of doing the same thing!

Alam kong di ako makaka-relate, so I just turned my head and casually glanced at the other people in the Sky Bar. No familiar faces, good! No more agonizing small talks then. Simula kanina, di ko parin nauubos 'tong beer ko.

Kevan took a quick glance at Jansen and said, "O-okay naman. Training parin ng training. Eh kayo?"

"Okay na okay!" he beamed and raised his beer. "Feeling ko mananalo kami this year!"

Jansen scoffed and muttered, "Yabang..." though Jed didn't hear him.

"Lakas na ng basket tosses namin ngayon! Kaya na ng mga flyers namin mag Pike Open Double Full, at sa pyramids naman" and Jed kept talking on and on and on. I found myself wishing I know some cheerleading so I could somehow understand even a bit of the things they're saying. Jed then added in a sad tone... "Kaso lang, namomroblema kami sa budget."

"Totoo?! Kami din!" Kevan exclaimed. "Nagkukuripot din ba ang school niyo?"

"Kuripot naman talaga ang school namin dati pa. Last year kami din naman gumawa ng paraan para makarating ng Nationals. This year, edi ganon ulit!"

"Talaga ba? Kami kasi binawasan yung budget namin ngayong taon eh. Kaya nga may mga fund raising activities kami next week," Kevan sighed.

"Ano-anong fund raising activities naman?" Jed asked.

I just listened quietly and intently. I didn't know they were having funding issues, and I got a bit curious about their fundraising activities. And Jansen would never talk to me about anything related to cheerleading.

"Uhmm... Madami! May cheer camp kami, mag tatayo ng food kiosk... Uhmm ano pa nga ba... basta! University Week na din kasi next week kaya sakto!"

"Wow! Dami niyo naisip ah! Kami, hihingi kami ng donation galing kay Congressman at Mayor..." Jed babbled. "Mag solicit din kaya kayo?"

"Ahh... Oo! Naisip din naman namin yun," Kevan chided. Then he continued in a rather shy tone... "At saka pala, yung mga kasama ko may naisip din palang Auction na kabulastugan."

"Anong kabulastugan? Kagaguhan..." Jansen muttered under his breath again, pero di siya pinansin ni Kevan.

"Auction? What do you mean 'Auction'?" I wondered out loud. Kevan turned towards me and said...

"Edi may bidding!" he then cleared his throat and went on... "Ewan ko ba dun kay Timmy..." He hesitated for a moment, so I moved closer, urging him to go on. "May starting value bawat member naming kasali. At kung sino yung may pinakamalaking bid, makaka-date niya yung member na yun. Basta ganon! Kalahati ng total amount ng bid mapupunta sa funds namin, kalahati naman para sa date nila."
