Chapter 14

Chaeyoung’s POV

“Oh Romeo, oh Romeo. Where arth thou?”

I have seriously seen this Romeo and Juliet movie over and over again. It’s classic and everyone knows it, so why the heck do we have to review it in class. Atleast I wasn’t the only geeling tortured. Mina unnie had a bored expression on her face, it was hilarious. Momo was sleeping right next to Dahyun, who was too, those two definitely would be so cute together. I can totally see it happening. I’m shipping them. Sana is the only one who’s paying attention to the screen and even mouthing the words. Mina unnie saw and turned giving me a weird and shocked look of disbelief she has in her friend. I couldn’t stop laughing and even had the teacher shush me.

Ugh. This is so boring. I’m glad it finally ended after having been watching it for a few days in class. The teacher paired us in groups to discuss it. I personally think the teacher ships me with Mina unnie and Dahyun with Momo because we are always together in groups.

“So, was it love or lusted between Romeo and Juliet?”

“Love!” Shouted Sana from the other group. We all laughed at that, she knew how much we all hated the play.

“Well duhh, lust.” Replied Momo and Dahyun at the same time. They both blushed and looked away, which was cute.

“Okay. How about you Mina unnie? And can you explain why instead of just stating it like these two.” I asked.

Mina unnie took a while before answering pretty passionately.

“Again, it was lust. I hardly believe they got to know each other well enough in just three days. Love isn’t immediate, it’s like a process of opening up to someone and vice versa and loving them whole heartily, even with their flaws. Romeo and Juliet were just super attracted to each other, and I guess that can develop into each other and I guess that can develop into love over time and them finding out more about each other, but they didn’t. then in the movie they immediately had sex after getting married. It just proves it was lust.” Replied Mina unnie.

“Wow, didn’t take you for a hopeless romantic.” I teased.

Mina unnie blushed and sarcastically replied, “Dang it, my secret’s out. No wonder I suck at relationships.”

“Hey, you don’t suck at relationships. People just don’t appreciate you.” Said Dahyun.

“Yeah, it was Yerin’s and Mark’s loss. Those douchebags……wait does Mark count as an ex?” asked Momo.

“Well uhmm, they only dated for two weeks, but they never actually became a couple because Mina unnie broke it off with him when she found out he was cheating. So I don’t know if it counts. But I love how Mina unnie got that jerk back for what he did.” Said Dahyun.

“Oh my god guys, stop talking about my past failed relationships.” Said Mina unnie while doing a face palm.

Aww she looked so cute even when embarrassed and a little frustrated. Okay, so I already hate Yerin even more for being an ass to her. Even though I shouldn’t ask, I could help but want to know what Mina unnie did to Mark, the cheating jerk.

“Oh, he tried to explain it was nothing and tried to kiss Mina unnie. Instead Minari kicked his nuts and gave him a punch. It was hilarious. That was awesome Mina unnie.” Answered Dahyun.

I looked at Mina unnie in disbelief. How did this cute and sweet girl can be a savage and sadistic too. Damn, that sounds badass and makes her hotter. Seriously how does she keep getting more beautiful. She just gives me so many feelings. Not like the butterflies, she gives me goosebumps and a swarm of bees in my stomach.

At the end of the day I was supposed to give Mina unnie a ride, so I was looking around for her. When I found her I ran up behind her and scared her. It would have been a funny story if she hadn’t trip backwards and I wouldn’t have grab her causing us to both fall on the floor. But not next to each other, I fell on her. Our faces were so close to each other, if we both leaned in a little we’d be kissing. I couldn’t help but stare at her lips, the I heard her call my name and I looked at her in the eyes. She’s never looked more beautiful. Her eyes were beautiful with a sparkle and I wanted nothing but to kiss her. She just stared back and I had a tiny feeling she wanted the same as me. It felt like time stopped before I remembered we were still in school and I quickly got up and pulled her too by her hand. We were both pretty red, but Mina unnie was the first to look away. We headed to the car in silence until we got to her house.

“Uhm thanks for the ride Chaeng….Uhm..I’ll see you tomorrow then. Bye.” She said before practically jogging to her front door. When she got inside I couldn’t help but stay in her driveway a few mins. I kept replaying the scene from earlier in my head. Should I have kissed her? Did I do the right thing by pulling away? Does she even like me too? I finally drove away with so many questions in my head. I didn’t know what to do at all.
