The ride home was a quiet one, Amina was more than upset because she hardly said a word and she was really the type to talk. The whole drive, I looked over at her as she just stared out the window shaking her head then laughed.
“You alright?” I asked and she nodded her head then chuckled.
“I’m fine, you?” she asked and I nodded my head picking up her hand and kissed her palm.
“It doesn’t matter what people think especially my mom. I have fun with you it’s been a long time since I have fun with a girl that I-”
My phone suddenly rang and I looked down to see Evie calling me. As much as I didn’t want to answer, she was going to destroy my voicemail if she had to and I didn’t want to hear all that shit.
“Yo.” I answered.
“Hey baby, I missed you.” She said and I looked over at Amina.
“Yeah, so Wassup? How’s everything going?” I asked and she giggled.
“Well I missed my boyfriend and guess what?”
“What?”
“They are playing your song in Atlanta, thanks to someone.” I looked over at Amina and smiled.
“Yeah I know.”
“So I have a certain present for you and I know that you are going to love it.”
“Alright but I have to call you later cause I got plans.” I said then hung up looking at Amina.
I was falling in love.
