POV: Aiden

"You failed again!?!?!?"

"Father I told you I cannot ever seem to get Merida alone. She is always with someone else or in view of the security cameras at her house. There's no way we can capture her without someone else seeing." I protest, the fury in my eyes matching that of my father's gold ones. "If we could just try another time--"

"Aiden I have given you far enough chances to...." I watch nervously as his furious face morphs into a plotting one. "At another time...what if...." He slowly begins pacing, muttering to himself every once in a while. "Another time, that's it!" He grabs my should smiling evilly. "Instead of capturing her at a future date, we capture her at a past one!"

"A past one?" I ask uncertain.

"Precisely! We send them all back in time, back to when Merida was Princess of Scotland, Jack was just a lone winter spirit, Hiccup was in Berk....This is perfect Aiden." He laughs maniacally. "Go fetch the others, I want this time thing done by tonight."

POV: Jack

"Remind me again, why exactly are we here?" I ask, bored out of my mind. Robin had called Hiccup and I up to hang out, and at the time it sounded like a fun idea. Watching a rich person's house was not fun. At all.

"I told you, Merida's here along with the other girls."

"But that doesn't explain why we're out here in the pouring rain." Hiccup complains.

"Aren't you from Berk? You should be used to the rain." I comment.

"It's not the moisture that bugs me it's the fact that we're sitting out in a thunderstorm when there's a palace just right across the way that we could easily gain entrance to." Dang, Hiccup is annoyed. The big boy words are coming out.

"Would you two please shut up!" Robin whines. "Your arguments aren't helping my hungry stomach."

"Dude, you ate like a whole cheesecake." I point out.

"Yeah, I know, just a whole cheesecake. That's not enough for a growing boy."

"For the love of Odin can we please just go inside? It's about 10:00, I'm sure the girls won't mind if we impost on their party now and request a place to rest and eat."

"Fine!" Robin surrenders, throwing his hands up in resignation. With a whoop of joy I hop up and run across the driveway to the front door with the boys close behind. Robin holds a finger up to his lips and quietly unlocks the front door, ushering us in before closing it behind him.

"Is it supposed to be this dark?" I whisper, my eyes slowly adjusting to the blackness. Robin flips a light switch, and when nothing happens, fiddles with it a bit.

"Power is out. That can't be good. Their power never goes out." Robin replies worriedly.

"I'm telling you I heard voices down by the front door!" The three of us fall silent at the sound of the new voice.

"Relax Baby Tooth, we're heading over there." I smiled giddily at the sound of Solara's voice, I hadn't seen her in ages, and it sounded as though her and the girls were headed our way.

"Achoo!" Robin's loud sneeze echoed through the halls.

"Show yourself whoever's there! I 'ave a booow and I know 'ow to use it!" Quickly fishing around in his pockets, he pulls out a mini flashlight, clicking it on. The girls all jump at the sudden new light.

"Relax Mer, it's just us."

"Are you out of your mind? Don't scare oos like that!" Merida yells angrily. "What in the blazes are ya doin' 'ere anyways?"
