My body began to glow. I saw Ian shield his eyes from the light. My hair flowed with a wind that wasn't there before. I looked up to the apocalyptic sky. I raised my hand above my head. I finally understood what it felt like to have powers. A huge blast of energy shot from my body towards the sky and the dark clouds dissipated. I felt like a god.
Before me, a black hole opened and swallowed up a few of the buildings. It was a portal, but it was much larger than any portal that I had seen before. I knew in my heart that it was the portal to Hell. I won't let any more innocent people fall prey to the demons. I'll bear the burden on my own soul in Hell, so the people of this world won't have to. I just need all the demon hunters to trust me and know that I'm only trying to do what is right. I thought.
"What the hell is she doing?" I heard Ian call to Alice.
"She's trapping all of the souls involved with demons in Hell. All the demons will become trapped, but so will the demon hunters, even you." Alice explained. I saw shadows swarm and circle me before being sucked into the portal. They came from every corner of the universe. I smiled at Ian.
"It's ok." I said. "I know exactly what I'm doing. You don't have to fight anymore." And with that, I felt my own soul being tugged from my body into the shadowy swirling pit of darkness. The world went black.
