You ever had a feeling you can't explain. You just know something ain't right. Well today I've had the feeling all day, and I can't shake it.

"You okay?" Aerin asked getting into my car.

"Yea I guess?" I said unsure.

"You still got that feeling? Huh?"

"Yea I just know something bout to happen." I said backing out the parking spot.

"You sure you need to be driving? I mean my life is in danger just being around you." She joked.

"You not funny." I smirked. "Let's got to Ray's." I pulled out the school parking lot.

"Over there in Eastbrook?"

"No in Compton, California."

"Fuck you." Aerin laughed. "Man they got some bomb ass wings."

"I just want some crazy fries." My mouth watered thinking about them.

"Ole hungry ahh!!"

"Shut up." I chuckled.

Fifteen minutes later we pulled up to Ray's.

"Aye watch out ma!!" Some nigga smiled at me in the middle of the road.

"Get out the way stupid!" Aerin yelled.

Parking the car ole dude came up to us; still smiling.

"Yo ma, you just was gon hit a nigga."

"Didn't yah mama ever tell you not to play in the streets." I opened the door to Ray's.

"Nah shawty but you can." He smiled. "What's yo name?"

"Red." I smiled.

"Yo C you better leave her alone dats Red bitch!!" I assumed one of his homies yelled out.

C looked at me realizing what name I said.

"Mane ion give a fuck about that weak ass nigga." He mugged me.

"Yeah this bitch don't mind calling that weak nigga to pull up on all y'all disrespectful niggas."

"Yo C chill." His homie spoke, looking a little frightened. "Let's bounce."

"Tell yah nigga come see me." He smiled walking out.

"You wanna go?" Aerin looked over me.

"Nah I came all the way over here on Eastside for my fries. Ain't no bitch ass nigga gon run me off; with his empty ass threats."

"Preach." Aerin stepped up to the counter ready to order.

Later

"These niggas must wanna die." Ryan yell threw the speaker. "Don't go back over there in least I'm with you or Ace or somebody. Ight?"

"Say yes daddy." Aerin whispered.

"Shut up." I whispered chuckling.

"You hear me?"

"Yess baby I hear you, I won't go back over there."  I pulled into Walmart parking lot.

"I'm serious."

"Ryaannn!!" I whined, finding a parking spot.

"Ight, stop all'at." I knew he was smiling.

"Stop smilin'." Putting the phone up to my ear, I got out the car.

"Ain't nobody smiling." He laughed.

"Mhm bye." I rolled my eyes.

"Girl you better tell me you love me."

"I hate you." I taunt him.

"Ight when I get back-"

"I love you bye baby." I said quickly hanging up.

"He gon kick yo ass." Aerin laughed.

"Whatever, let's get this stuff for mommy and go." My phone rung in my hand.

"He gone fuck you-"

"Hey! Hey! Jhonni!! JoJo!!" Some lady ran up to me in the parking lot.

Now me being me I don't know this lady, I'm ready to square up.

"Jhonni baby I'm sorry, I'm sorry for everything." Realizing who it was I stepped back from her. "Help me please." She pleaded.

Looking over at Aerin, she was a shook as I was.

"Why? Why should I help you?" I threw my arms up.

"I need help baby please. He--he kicked me!" She began to cry. "I'm hungry. Please. Please?" She looked over at Aerin.

I sighed, pulling forty out my pocket I hand it to her.

"That's all I got. It's a women shelter on Fifth."

"This it?" She looked at it.

Snatching my money back I looked at her as if she lost her mind.

"Lady you lucky I even thought to give you anything. I shouldn't give you shit after you left me. Aerin let's go." I walked around Brenda.

"No wait okay." She grabbed me.

Pushing her hand off of me, I turned around.

"Imma give you twenty, either you take it or leave it."

"I'll take it." She said quickly.

Taking the money out my hand, she look as if she was heisted to say something.

"Run." Brenda finally spoke.

"What?" I scrunched my face up.
