"So, the Stingray was last seen in Havana, gathering supplies." Jack had laid out various handwritten documents and letters splayed out on the floor in front of you. "I had some friends intercept couriers to retrieve these letters, which gave us an advantage to know what he didn't know. This includes where his next targets will be and his locations for the following month. Unfortunately, he always manages to escape us. If you can stop him, take the opportunity, no matter what."

You looked outside the half open roof. Sunlight leaked directly through the holes. "Great!" Dusting yourself off, you stood up. "Thanks for the help, Jack." You pulled him into another quick hug.
"Be careful, Y/N/N," he whispered, his grip tightening slightly.
"I will, I will!" Laughing, you climbed out of the bureau.

"So, Edward. To Havana?" You looked at your new friend beside you.
"Of course," he smiled, leading you to the docks.

There was a small dispute on which ship to bring, so you just brought both, deciding on the pros of extra weaponry than the cons of a rather obvious look of a fleet at sea.

It had been two weeks since you left Nassau, whilst ending up taking detours and almost sailing through the entirety of the West Indies. This has led to one on one moments between you and Edward, as you bonded and talked. You had no idea why, but your stomach had begun to flip and your face heated up whenever he was around. There was a clue, but you brushed it off, not believing it.

Jones was talking with Adéwalé at the side of the ship, acting as your and Edward's messenger pigeons. Your ship was always slightly ahead of Edward's, because you were the navigator. You knew your own way around most of these waters, having sailed them for so many years (even when you were young).

"Stop!" You ordered your men to reel in the sails, as the sun began to warm up, causing everyone to tire out quickly. A break was in order. "Captain!" You called to Edward, who had noticed your sudden halt and mimicked the action. "Permission to come aboard?" You needed to plan a route to the port of Havana where you would have a good view of the ships that come in and out.

"Just get over here, lass!" He smirked, walking down the steps from the helm. Without any further thought, you leaped out from the oaken structure of your ship and landed on his, albeit slightly on the clumsy side. You heard a laugh and directed your attention to its source.

"Careful!"
You dusted yourself off with a laugh. "Sorry. Anyway, I need to talk to you about the way forward from here."
Edward gestured to his cabin. "Follow me."

His cabin was burnt with an auburn brown, and was messily tidy; maps on the table, weapons tucked neatly underneath. The windows gently bled light into the places where it reflected. His bed was tucked away on the far side of the room. "This is amazing!" You gushed, gazing in awe at the walls around you. Your cabin wasn't nearly as luxurious or neat; probably because you didn't pillage and plunder... at all.
"Thank you, lass," Edward replied. "Now; what's this business of yours?"

"Right!" You rushed over to the map on the table and dove right into your dilemma. "Here we are." you pointed to a wide open stretch of water. "And here is Havana. The question is– where can we hide to have a good view of the docks without being seen by other ships?"

Edward hunched over the map, locks of hair pooling in front of his eyes. The light reflected his irises and as a result, beamed bright blue and green hues. The fabric of his robes neatly wrapped around his arms and torso. His fingers drummed on the table in thought and his lips cast a delicate shadow on his ski–
