⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ KIELCE STARED AT the ceiling fan as it rotated, his arm laid across his forehead. The hairs on his bare chest stood at attention, he caught small chills as the fan's wind was sent straight down onto his skin. Melani and her parents voices were heard in the distance of the house as they were preparing to leave.

They'd only stayed overnight after dinner since that happened to be the plan. The family's divide was noticeable, all barely liked the presence of one another but they tried.

Kielce perked his lips in a circular form and blew out a breath, his mind boggling with various of thoughts. Two being what Livan had said about why wanting a child if he planned on leaving and the other being what Melani spat last night during their dispute.  He knew he was distancing himself, but he still felt guilty in having her feel the way she did.

He wanted them to do something together so he'd mentally planned a day for them today. If a baby couldn't resolve their marriage, Kielce wanted to try again with putting more effort and time into her; if that still didn't improve things then the choice would be made for a divorce.

Kielce threw the covers from around his torso and sat his feet on the floor once throwing his legs to the side of the bed. He looked up towards the bedroom door, hearing Melani's steps draw closer. The door opened and there she stood. She kept a straight face before walking in front of the bed over to her side of it.

"You know you could've at least said bye." She stated, annoyed by the ignorance within the family. The bed dipped slightly as she sat on the bed, checking her phone on the nightstand of its few notifications.

"I'm sorry, Mel." Kielce apologized as he turned to the side, leaning his face forward and rested his chin on her shoulder. "I want to take you out."

Melani locked her screen and tilted her head to the side, coming face to face with him. Her face held an expression that she was unconvinced and that in itself proved this was long overdue and needed. "Really?" She asked unenthusiastically.

He rose from the bed and stood up straight, nodding. "I'm serious. We need time together, we both know."

Standing from the bed as well, Melani folded her arms as she looked at him. She leaned her left knee forward on the bed. "Umhm and what made that come to mind?"

"A lot of things. The baby situation and what you said last night." He kept his explanation short. His wife stared at him, her arms still folded tightly.

Finally she dropped her arms to the side of her and her face softened.  "Okay so where are we going?"

Kielce shook his head, a small smirk replacing the straight expression he had. "Don't worry about that. I got you."

Melani couldn't help the smile that formed over her face as she rolled her eyes playfully and turned to the side. Old memories came to mind of them both of how he'd hardly ever tell her where they're going knowing she hated surprises. Sometimes he'd really want to surprise her but other times, he didn't know himself. He wouldn't admit that though because he knew indecisiveness was a turn-off for a woman.

Kielce clasped his hands together and tapped his wrist, furrowing his eyebrows. "C'mon woman, get dressed. You know it takes you forever and three days anyways."

Mel chuckled, waving him off as she couldn't help but to grow excited for the day. "I do not!" She defended as she walked inside the closet, turning towards her side as she scanned through the clothes.

"Umhm." He mumbled, unconvinced. "Pick me something out while you're in there too."

"You know you never like to wear what I pick out."
