Katie's P.O.V

I tried to avoid Matteo at all times, in fear that he would hurt me again. I didn't go near Lorenzo either as I knew he would soon find out that I had lied to him.

I gasped as I felt a shock come from my bracelet and I dropped the clothes I was holding. I wasn't sure what this meant but I saw the other two girls scurry down the stairs so I followed them. I followed the girls as we went into Lorenzo office where he sat on the edge of his desk with Matteo standing beside him. We all stood in front of him waiting for him to speak. Marco soon walked in and stood beside Lorenzo, he didn't go near Matteo as he's been avoiding him after what happened.

"Girls... One of you has disappointed me very much. Recently one of you has decided to use the phone and call someone. Now we will be here until one of you admits so let's not take all day." Lorenzo tells us and I felt Amelia tense up beside me and I quickly grabbed her hand to comfort her. Lorenzo walks behind us holding a metal stick and I winced as he hit the back of our thighs one by one.

It wasn't me who had called, and I doubt it was Christine since she didn't really care that she was here. I noticed the way Amelia was acting and I suspected that it was her. I knew the way Matteo used her and it was horrible, she was too young to be caught up in this. I had a feeling that if she confessed then things would not be good for her. As much as the girls did ignore me, we also had our moments before we all slept where we would talk about the adventures we would take if we ever got out of here. I know that seemed childish but it somehow gave me hope that if I ever got out of here things could be better. Marco's phone started ringing and he quickly left the room, Lorenzo began to hit the back of our legs again as he paced behind us.

"The longer you wait the worse the punishment will be..." Lorenzo states beside me and I see a tear slide down Amelia's cheek and in that moment I knew I had to help her.

"It was me," I say quickly and Lorenzo walks around to stand in front of me. He looks angry and he dismisses the other girls, Amelia looks back towards me and she tries to stay back but I shake my head and she quickly leaves with Christine. Marco walks back in and gives me a questioning look.

"Katie? Brother, you have the wrong girl." Marco says and my eyes go wide.

"She just confessed to it, looks like you need to keep a better eye on your pet," Matteo says and I refuse to look over at him. I silently hoped that Marco would just drop it but I knew he wouldn't, I probably should have thought this through.

"She's been with me all day though, I would have seen her." I plead with my eyes for him to keep quiet but I know he will not.

"It was me, I did I-"

"Looks like her middle name isn't the only thing she lies about," Lorenzo says and my mouth drops open in shock.

"I don't actually know whose name the money is under. I had to say something you were going to give me to that man." I say as tears begin to form in my eyes.

"What were you doing to do with her?" Marco asks Lorenzo angrily.

"We will not be discussing that right now. Katie must pay for her actions." Lorenzo stayed before reaching a belt towards Marco.

"I'm not hurting her." He says firmly.

"Oh yes, you are. You do not have a choice." Matteo says and I see a smile on his face that makes me want to throw up.

Marco looks hesitant and I turned around to brace myself for the impact. It was a light hit but it still hurt. Lorenzo stopped Matteo and showed him how to properly do it and once it struck me I gasped and almost fell over. After about twenty hits I could barely breathe and tears were streaming down my face.
