The Ministry's Stupid Rules

The Date

Hermione and Draco sat around talking all day , until 10pm at night . 

" sorry , i have to go , my mother would be expecting me home  , i'll see you tomorrow ?" he asked on his way to the door , with her following quickly behind 

"yeah sure , and its okay .... you know i think this marriage thing is going to be a lot better than i thought it would " she replied with a smile 

"yeah me too , ill see you tomorrow then 'mione " he said before he kissed her cheek and left 

"see you tomorrow dray " she whispered to no one as she lifted her hand to touch the cheek he had kissed 

as soon as she had closed the door she fell against it and smiled to herself , still holding the cheek he kissed 

When he heard the door close he let out a breath as he was leaning against the wall on the left hand side of the door and smiled widely as he had heard her soft whisper . 

"hermione , how can i tell you i love you?" he asked in a whisper , more to himself , rather than any one else 

He straightened himself out and then apparated home to tell his mother the name of the person he was due to marry .

Malfoy Manor 

"mother? are you here ? " he called out to the darkness as he began to light the candles in the hall 

" i'm here my dragon , in the kitchen " she called back 

he walked through and placed a kiss on her cheek 

" mother , you know of Hermione Granger correct?" 

" yes shes the muggle-born that you have been caught up on since you met in first year and shes the brains of the Golden trio , why?" 

"well she's no longer going to be Hermione Granger , she's getting married " 

" oh , really , to who ?" 

"me"

she screamed 

" Draco this is amazing !"she all but shouted 

" i know " he stated simply 

" aren't you more excited about this ? " 

" i'm trying to keep my cool , we have a date tomorrow "

"okay , okay  , now its my turn to keep my cool " she stated softly 

"okay mother , good luck with that , good night , I'm going to bed " he replied chuckling

"okay my little dragon , goodnight " she stated before she kissed him on the cheek 

That night Draco slept the whole night for the first time since his first year , however it was not a dreamless sleep it was one filled with images of  Hermione and her smile and laugh and everything he loved about her 

Back at Hermione's apartment - same night 

She strolled into her room after 5 minutes of sitting against the door and day dreaming of Draco . She changed into her night gown and got into bed .  She slept the whole night , dreaming of herself telling Draco of her feelings and him returning them , for the first time in 4 years she did not have a night terror and slept peacefully . 

Next day - 10am

Hermione had just finished getting ready when she heard the same soft knock on her door as she had the day before . She strolled over , this time knowing who it would be .
