1. O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)!
2. Arise and warn!
3. And your Lord (Allah) magnify!
4. And your garments purify!
5. And keep away from Ar-Rujz (the idols)!
6. And give not a thing in order to have more (or consider not your deeds of Allah's obedience as a favour to Allah).
7. And be patient for the sake of your Lord (i.e. perform your duty to Allah)!
[Surat Al-Muddaththir (The Cloaked One)]
These were among the first verses revealed to the Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Upon Him). After the Messenger (Peace and Blessings Upon Him) was given the first verses commanding him to "Iqra" or to "Read" he was in such awe that he ran home to his wife Lady Khadijah (May Allah Be Pleased With Her) and asked her to wrap him up. The beginning verses of Al-Muddaththir were then conveyed and it is reported that from the time Allah (Most Glorified, Most High) commanded the Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings Upon Him) to "Arise and warn!" he would say to Lady Khadijah (May Allah Be Pleased With Her): "Oh Khadijah! From now then, there is no time for sleep."
