Is this love? (Vampire Knight x Reader)

"I choose--"

"Well, obviously she'll choose me." 

Hanabusa proclaimed arrogantly. Senri groaned in annoyance,  

"Will you please shut up?" 

"Yeah, Hanabusa. She'd never want you."

Akatsuki cut in snidely, earning a cold glare from his cousin, 

"You think you're better for her than me?" 

"I don't think it. I know it." 

"Well then--"

Hanabusa cut himself off as he launched icicles at Akatsuki, who dodged it as a fireball formed in his hand while Kaname and Takuma rushed to stop the two aristocrats. During the commotion, I slipped out of the front door and went to sit at the large fountain fairly far away from the Moon Dorm. I sighed and looked up at the full moon that was shining brightly in the midnight sky, 

"You come out here, too?"

Someone said from beside me. I turned and saw Zero sitting down next to me. I nodded, 

"I have a few times. I like the view of the moon. Plus there's a lot of drama and commotion at the Moon Dorm so I wanted to get away."

Zero tilted his head in confusion, 

"What's going on?"

"Some of the guys are fighting. They're trying to decide who is best for me but honestly I don't want any of them."

Zero's demeanor changed when he heard I didn't want them. He looked almost hopeful as he spoke, 

"Really? Then who do you want?" 

He asked me. I turned to gaze into his lilac eyes and smiled softly at him,

"I... I want you. I love you Zero. You're a good person. I know you hate vampires and you think they're evil and I don't expect you to think anything different where I'm concerned--"

I never finished my thought as Zero pulled me close and kissed me passionately, holding me close to him as he kissed me. When we broke apart, I stood up in confusion, 

"I-I don't understand I thought you hated vampires." 

He stood up and walked up to me, cupping my face in his hands before responding,  

"I did, yes, but I don't hate you. At first I thought you were like the rest of them but now I realize that you aren't. I fell in love with you Y/N. I love you more than anything and anyone. You're my sun and moon and all the stars in the sky. I want to be with you Y/N. I love you. Will you stay with me?"

I smiled widely and nodded enthusiastically, 

"Yes! Yes I will!" 

Zero laughed happily as he held me close and spun me around. When he set me down he kissed me lovingly, pouring all his love into the kiss. When we broke apart I rested my forehead against his, looking into his eyes and smiling lovingly at him while he smiled adoringly back at me,  

"I haven't felt true happiness since my parents died and Shizuka stole my brother from me. All I knew was anger and hatred... but you brought my happiness back and I love you for that. You looked past the monster and saw who I really am. Nothing has ever made me happier than when you told me you love me." 

I smiled warmly at him and kissed his cheek, 

"I love you very much Zero. I always will. I want to spend forever with you and only you. I'll go anywhere in the world with you by my side." 

He smiled down at me and kissed my forehead sweetly, holding me close as the moonlight shined down on both of us.
