•chapter 33•

Morgan's POV

"These waffles are so good." Gilinsky mumbles since he has a mouth full. "I know. My mom makes the legit best waffles." I say. "I've missed these waffles." Jack says. "Y'all are too sweet." My mom says. We all laugh and continue to eat our amazing breakfast.

"Hey Mahogany, wanna go in the pool?" I ask. "Sure." She says. We change into our bathing suits and head downstairs. We walk out onto the balcony and walk down those stairs.

"Its so hot. Omg." Mahogany says. "That's why we have a pool." I laugh. "I'm in desperate need of a tan." She says. "Me too." I agree. We both lay down on the chairs so we can get a tan in.

Shawn's POV

Luke, Johnson, Gilinsky, and I are in the basement. We're talking and playing video games.

"Oh my gawd. Why's it so hot today?" Luke complains, turning on the AC. "Um cause its summer?" Gilinsky says. "No really I didn't know." Luke rolls his eyes. "I'm done playing video games anyway. Let's go in the pool." Jack suggests. We all agree.

We get changed into our bathing trunks. We head out on the balcony and down the stairs. We see Mahogany and Morgan laying down on chairs.

"Hey, let's throw them in." Johnson whispers. "Shawn you get Morgan and I'll get Mahogany." He says. "Uh I don't know. She'll be mad." I say. "Just do it." He says. "Fine." I sigh.

We walk quietly over to the girls and we pick them up. "What the hell?" Morgan says. "Jack! Put me down!" Mahogany says. We throw them into the water without hesitation. They resurface to the top of the water.

"Jack. I am so gonna kill you." Mahogany says. "You're dead, Mendes." Morgan says. "It was Jack's idea not mine." I say. "Yo dude." He says.

They get out of the water and Mahogany starts running after Johnson. Morgan comes up to me and surprisingly,  she doesn't seem mad. "Am I still dead?" I ask. "Nope." She says. "Wait...so your not mad?" I ask. "No. I was hot anyway." She says. "Okay good cause for a sec-" I get cut off with water suddenly filling my mouth. I resurface to the top. "Oh come on." I say. "Revenge." She laughs.

Morgan's POV

We all spend the day having fun outside. We swim in the pool and lake and Mahogany and I actually get out tan in. Henry, Macey, Lexi, Gavin, and Serena came over hours ago and they joined us. We had a cookout and my mom made some amazing food. The sun is almost out of the sky and Luke is putting a fire together.

"Its cold. Who wants to go in the hot tub?" I ask. Everyone says yes and we all go into the hot tub. Except for Luke and Mom who are trying to figure out the fire. Henry, Macey, Lexi, Gavin, Serena, Shawn, Jack, Gilinsky, Mahogany, and I all go into the hot tub since its getting chilly.

We're all changed out of our bathing suits and we're sitting around the fire. We're all waiting for the fireworks to start. Its about 8:30 right now.

We're toasting some marshmallows over the fire and making s'mores. I love making s'mores. We all talk and laugh, as we make them, about the randomest things. We also play with sparklers, watch as other people set their fireworks off and play around with glow sticks.

"Hey look the fireworks are starting." My mom says. We all go onto the deck and sit on the edge to watch the fireworks. Gilinsky and Jack are goofing off and I bet one of them is gonna fall into the water but that's them for you. Mahogany is laughing at them but watching and filming the fireworks at the same time. Luke and Serena are sitting together holding hands. Aweeee. My friends are sitting together just talking and watching. I have my head rested on Shawn's shoulder as we watch the fireworks in silence.

*flash* *click* I look back to see that Mahogany had taken a picture of Shawn and I. I roll my eyes and shake my head at her and turn back towards the fireworks.

"This is weird." Shawn says out of nowhere. "What is?" I ask in confusion. "Celebrating the Fourth of July. I don't do that." He says. "Oh right. You're Canadian." I laugh. He playfully rolls his eyes and shakes his head. "Heh I forgot. You've been in America for so long." I say. "Oh yea cause of tour." He says.

"Did you forget about tour?" I ask. "Just that I have to go back on it and not be with you." He sighs. "Hey. Maybe you can come with me on tour." He suggests. "Shawn...I don't know if-" He cuts me off. "Please. It'll be so much fun. Especially when you're there. Its summer so you don't have to worry about school. I'll even ask Andrew. It'll be so much fun. Please." He says all in one breath. "We'll see." I say smiling at his enthusiasm.

His smile grows bigger and he kisses me on the cheek. "You know I love you right?" He asks. "Yes Shawn, and I love you too." I say.
