Chapter 4: Mysterious

Being the top student of Finelry High, I think I really have gained so much trust and love. Well, I guess except for the new kids.

I really don't understand why do they need to act like that in front of me when in fact, they don't know me at all. 

Is it their instincts that hate me? Or they just hate my guts?

I don't know at all. Siguro hindi lang talaga sila friendly. And here comes the president, whose me, trying to be friends with them. Well, not exactly be-friend. I'm the top student. I just wanted to make them feel welcomed.

"You're idling." I came back into my senses when Nijel spoke. Muntik ko nang makalimutang kasama ko siya. Ugh. Why do I keep on thinking about those two newbie? 

"Ugh. Yeah. I'm sorry." i mumbled.

"What were you thinking, Zy?" interesadong tanong niya. Napatingin naman ako kay Nijel. Nakatingin lang siya sa corridor na dinadaanan namin. He's still this calm. Lagi naman. Hindi ko pa siya nakitang nagpakita ng ibang emosyon except sa pagiging calm at concerned. Though nakita ko na naman siyang nakangiti. He's always the good guy, after all.

I shifted my gaze to the floor. "It was nothing." I lied again. Mukhang naeenjoy ko na ang pagsisinungaling ah. And it's not a good thing.

"It's not nothing. It's always something." He said as he stopped walking and so I did.

I looked at him. Nakatingin na rin siya sa'kin. He's damn serious and I don't know if I can keep this eye contact of ours. I was about to say something when he opened the door behind him.

Napatingin ako sa pintong binuksan niya then sa kanya ulit. Hindi ko manlang namalayan na nakarating na kami sa room namin.

He smiled at me at saka binuksan pa ng mas malaki ang pinto para makapasok ako.

"Good morning, Pres." bati sa'kin ng mga kaklase ko habang nakangiti. I smiled sweetly and answered back. "Good morning, too." 

The students here never fail to make me feel so loved. And so I love them too.

"Good morning, Vice!" napatingin ako sa likod ko at nakita ang nakangiting si Nijel na bumati rin sa kanila ng Good morning. They're respectful like that.

Ibinalik ko ang tingin ko sa buong klase. Then suddenly, I felt someone's staring at me.
