Why is being gay wrong?

(Warning: I'm catholic and I'm stating my opinion and I strictly believe in God and our religion- but not everything our religion stands for. So if you're easily butthurt and insulted on these religion-related topics, don't read this chapter/go be butthurt somewhere else)

Hi people!

First off, I just want to say THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who has been here with me all this time! I would start mentioning people but the list would be too long and just ughhh

So this is something that's been going on in my mind for a while

See, I'm catholic. And proud of it. 

But sometimes not so proud. Because why you gotta hate, man? 

Like, I just can't understand why people have to hate on others because of their sexual preferences. 

And when I asked my parents about it, because I trust them and they're fully fledged adults that should know, they explained to me that we, as catholics, accept gay people and love them, but only because they're our brothers and sisters. They said that we only accept them in general terms, but that in no way do we agree with their ideals because it's not natural. 

And, yes, I get it. It isn't natural, whatever. But who even decides what's natural? 

And I know in the bible it clearly many times states that a man and a woman must be married and that's that, but times change! People change!

I was watching Glee, and something that Kurt said when asked whether he believed in God or not really struck me. 

It was something along the lines of 'Why should I love someone who creates a person like me, then tells his followers to hate me for it?" 

Idk if the way I said it made any sense, but look it up if you want to know. 

Because it's so true! I mean, God knows everything and he creates everyone and knows all, right? So then WHY would he make someone gay, then instruct everyone that this is wrong?!

I'm not saying God is wrong or anything, I'm still catholic and everything and I will never NOT be because that's just my religion. (Again, if you're a different religion, I completely respect that because you have the right to believe in what you want to believe. I'm also not into 'I'll pray for you, brother, and hope God enters your heart and brings you to the true religion' shit, so no worries there)

ugh I just had to get this out of my system. 

I also stated this point to my parents, and I remember them say something like 'He(God) can't control those kinds of deffects' 

And just, well, THEN WHY IS HE ALL POWERFUL. 

I just don't understand, and I want to understand whydsafjsdhkfjhasdkjfaskdf

Anyways

I am a supporter of gay and lesbian rights (seeing as my otp is gay ENJOLTAIRE AND SOLANGELO IS LIFE)

and if anybody has an answer for me, PLEASE TELL ME?!!
