Roselia's POV

The blinding lights and the clamour could be heard from outside the stadium. My aching heel and burning legs felt like it would fail me at any second. Throughout the whole day, he made me run around the campus for over 30 times! I missed half of my lectures because of him! And, he managed to do it without his friends noticing a vexed first-year student running around their hallway. Each time I sat and took a breath, his next order had already vibrated my phone. I had to continuously punch my legs with my fist to pacify the pain in my legs.

I'm so going to kill him after this unusual pact expired.

5:25 p.m.

The game starts in half an hour. I've never been to the university's basketball stadium before but I had a prior perspective on how it would look like. Obviously, there had to be a basketball court, bleachers stands and the sidelines. Our stadium was situated near the common hall. I've passed through it once or twice but never really went in. Basketball does not interest me, you would expect that from a girl who was nose-deep in her studies and did not have the slightest reason to walk into a stadium.

"I wonder if all the boys will be playing today." Vanessa took a bite of the cotton candy she just bought from outside the stadium.

"Ash, Kade, Evan, Jasper?" I asked as I plucked a piece from the fluffy pink desert. She nodded in response while pressing a finger into her mouth to shove a big chunk of the cotton candy.

I should've guessed all of them were playing today. That would explain the barrage of women almost knock us over as they entered the stadium. Sometimes, I wanted to laugh at their ignorance to think that they had a chance with any of them. Two of them were committed to a relationship which leaves two left. Well, one of the two was now conducting a fake relationship with me so there was only one single human in the group, technically.

A satisfied sigh escaped my lips. It was due to the fact that I had the brief merit of putting those thirsty cougars in place. I would have to act protective over my man. A voluntary cringe almost made me convulse in place at the mention of those last words.

We stepped into the lights inside the stadium and boy, did I have a misjudgment of what a basketball stadium looks like. More specifically, the atmosphere. The air that permeated the closed space was tainted with sweat and hormones. The heat produced by closely rubbing bodies in the bleachers generated heat enough to evaporate any sort of substance in the air and as I mentioned, sweat and hormones.

The bleachers were composed of 75% thirsty cougars and 24.9% audience just trying to enjoy the game. The other 0.1% was a particular clueless girl standing under the large entry doorway who had no intention of paying attention to the game, just there to prove I had a solid fake relationship, no other reason.

"Sel! Come on!" Vanessa gestured me to come towards her as she was already climbing up the stairs of the bleachers.

I sighed and moved towards her.

'Just sit quietly so that no one would notice you.'

'Counting on it.'

'You could sit right in the empty seat in the-

Just as I was about to finish my thoughts, a walking fire hydrant behind me slammed me on my shoulder. In less than a second, the world around me turned sideways and blurry. With a loud thud, my knees slammed onto the cold, hard wooden floor of the stadium. It didn't hurt that much as I've fallen on my knees too many times that I've started getting used to it. The reason I wore a scowl on my face was that I keep getting rushed at by stupid people! Additionally, my trusty glasses were no longer on my face and I couldn't see! It was even more annoying that I stood on the side of the bleachers, not at the centre of the entrance. So how could someone bump into me if they did not have retard syndrome?
