Liberation chronicles the journey of seventeen year-old Runner as he escapes the fate of a death sentence to fight for a chance of survival by finding a rumoured fresh water lake for the government of MegacityOne. In a future where a good part of the world has been rendered uninhabitable by a lingering radiation, the domes of megacities are humanity’s only chance of survival. Air and water could cost a man his life savings and the menace of gangs or the iron fist of a dictatorial government has made life no less bearable.
As his journey begins he comes to understand that he is not alone in the race for the ultimate price of freedom. He begins to uncover the true intent of the government and also comes to realize that within the broken buildings and ashen piles, lurks hundreds of rabid men suffering from the cannibalistic effects of a new drug called the Sixth Sense.
