"As lord hokage said before, many guests will be coming to the third exam. So we can't have long pointless matches, our time is limited as well. Therefore for those of you who wish to drop out, this is the time." Hayate instructed.

"Yes and the preliminaries will start immediately so those of you who are physically ill speak up now." He said before having a miniature coughing fit. I deadpanned at him, geez look who's talking about health, looks like this guy needs a cough drop!

"Are you kidding me? Can't we atleast get a break I mean we just finished the second half of this exam." Ino exclaimed from behind me. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose.

"In the famous words of Shikamaru Nara, what a drag." I stated earning a laugh from Naruto and Kiba.

"Are we gonna have time to eat?" Choji asked solely worried about food, I couldn't help but sweat drop at his priorities. But who am I to judge? In a perfect world we would have a two hour nap break in this test.

The complaints of other gennin started building on top of one another but I couldn't help but stare at Sasuke who stood next to me. He was grabbing onto his neck, the same place Orochimaru bit him.

I saw Sakura also looking at Sasuke in worry, instead of curiosity like myself. "Hey Sasuke? I think maybe you should quit." Sakura said timidly.

I arched a brow at that, why should he quit? I feel like if he continues we could figure out more about the mark on his neck and it's affects. This is the perfect opportunity!

Sasuke widened his eyes a bit at Sakura's request. "What?" He asked then narrowing his eyes at her. I stared at her in question but she was too busy staring at Sasuke to notice.

"I-it's just...Sasuke, ever since that Orochimaru guy bit you, you haven't been yourself!" She whispered. "You're in pain because of that bite he gave you right?" She asked placing a hand on his shoulder.

I placed my hands on my hips and scrunched up my face.

She started crying making my look towards her become even nastier, I caught myself and narrowed my expression to seeming stoic. Why did he be a little bitch and push me away but not Sakura!

"I just don't think this is a good idea. Please quit before...... I don't know before something bad happens!" She pleaded while trying to wipe her tears away. Naruto looked back at us, obviously worried for Sakura.

I sighed at this, why is she even crying? Is she that emotionally invested in Sasuke that she'd cry for him?

"I'm really scared about what might happen if you fight Sasuke so please don't-" She was cut off by Sasuke himself. "Shut up Sakura." He hissed out to which my eyes widen the slightest bit.

"I get it Sasuke but you can't fight like this!" She cried out hysterically, this is when I got involved. "Listen here you emotional overly dramatic fools, you're drawing attention to yourselves by giving us all a free drama that you would tune into every late Sunday on the damn T.V." I whispered to my team.
